Helix Native - Critically acclaimed guitar and effects processor in a plug-in format.

Helix® Native delivers the power and tonal authenticity of award-winning HX Modeling technology in a plug-in. Like the hardware members of the Helix family of guitar processors—Helix Floor, Helix Rack, and Helix LT—the Helix Native plug-in features accurate recreations of vintage and modern amplifiers, speaker cabinets, microphones, and effects, as well as extensive signal-routing capabilities and an intuitive user interface. Not just for guitarists, the Helix Native plug-in is also ideal for producers and engineers, sound designers, film/TV/game composers, electronic musicians, and anyone else seeking to craft new and exciting sounds and special effects. And preset compatibility across the entire Helix family allows Helix hardware users to bring studio-created sounds to the stage by simply transferring their plug-in presets to their Helix Floor, Helix Rack, or Helix LT processors.

DESIGNED TO INSPIRE
The most sought after amps and effects models.
The Helix Native plug-in provides a limitless creative palette for inspiring tone creation, with 60+ amplifiers, 30+ speaker cabinets and a wide range of 100+ effects. The interface provides a fast and intuitive tone editing workflow, so you can instantly access your entire signal chain and quickly tweak your settings. Helix Native also supports 3rd party impulse responses (IRs), offering even greater tonal flexibility.

TAKE YOUR TONES FROM STUDIO TO STAGE
Seamless workflow and broad compatibility.
The Helix Native plug-in features broad compatibility with popular DAWs, offering powerful 64-bit performance on AAX, AU and VST3 platforms. It also tightly integrates with Helix hardware so you can take your presets from studio to the stage—and back again.

Your problem is that you have downloaded the demo from Line 6 (and who knows what else you have installed!) and it's interfering with this version. If you don't know how to delete ALL the files (and where they are), then this will never work for you... because it's working for the rest of us.

A very useful reply, indeed. Your problem is... If you don't know... It interferes... You assume, and assume again. You know nothing. These things exist in your mind only.
Line6 demo - not working, vr 1.0, the same, 1.5 the same. After 23 years of working with computers every day, I know how to uninstall an application, files, registry, aso. But you look so clever assuming I don't know.
"The rest of us..." did anyone elect you as a representative? Can you read the posts above, mr.rest-of-us? If it doesn't work in more than one daw, Sonar, acid, Protools, while guitarrig, amplitube, etc work fine, it certainly has a compatibility issue. Now, If YOU had enough experience, you would know that these issues are frequent to newly developped software. That is why there are new versions released periodically.
Next time keep your opinions, and stay off my posts. I don't like your attitude.

Can we keep it respectful guys please?

My point exactly. The word is respect. Some people still need to be reminded. Thank you.

He was talking to you too, type2002n. I'm sure he was only trying to help.

Maybe you should contact line 6 and tell them about your compatibility problems. LuckySevens is somewhat right in saying that it works for the majority. You seem to have a very specific compatibility issue that could help line 6 improve the software. If even the official release won't work for you , I'll doubt you'll find the answers you're looking for on this page.

Well, it seems it works for some. Majority... Has there been a poll? Instead of generalities and arrogant comments, that I totally dislike, we could use some specific info about the daw used, version, os, etc. At least we would know where it works and where it doesn't.
P.S. Already wrote to Line6, since v 1.0. Obviously, they didn't resolve it so far.

If it didn't work for most of us the comment section would be filled with a lot failure reports. If my comment sounded arrogant, I'm truly sorry, since that's not what I intended. I hope your problem gets solved soon.

P. S. : I've heard it works on Reaper (which is a great daw if you haven't tried it out yet)

You may want to reconsider calling others comment "arrogant" and read again what YOU wrote:
The damn thing refused to work Failed to load preset, failed to load model, Helix core not initialized code -7. Same as version 1.0, downloaded from the line6 website.
In Sonar it appears in the plugin list, can be inserted, vst2 and vst3, but the above mentioned message appears. In Acid, it doesn't even show up after plugin scan.
This thing is (still) a joke. Other guitar vst's loaded and functioned ok since day one. This one - nothing. A 20mb software. Period.

It's not exactly an example of humbleness ....

Anyway, let's get back to your technical problem and find a solution

To be clear.. One more time.. :)
This release is working FINE for VST Hosts EXCEPT the AAX Version for Pro Tools. (which I get the error -7 no matter what)

Exactly what vst hosts / versions worked for you? It could be useful. Not quite all vst hosts work:
Platinum 9.22 (vst2, vst3), Acid 7.0 (doesn't even get scanned), Protools 10 (aax), not working. -7 all the way.

I am having the same issue. Clean/first time helix install. Shows up in Audioutopia pro tools 12, but fails to initialize... no presets will load.

Everything worked but CPU went into the 40% zone in LiveX without even using an instrument!! so I can forget this one for now.

Can you tell the specs of your computer?

CPU cycles = tone. Even with heuristic algorithms, a certain amount of CPU is required to calculate complex harmonics, etc.
