Way Out Ware TimewARP 2600 v1.6 Incl Keygen (WiN and OSX) screenshot
TEAM R2R | 23.10.2016 | WiN 6.46 MB | OSX 19.3 MB
For nearly 4 decades, the ARP 2600 has helped to provide the backbone for electronic, urban, and popular music. Today, musicians and producers aggressively pursue the limited number of remaining ARP 2600 synthesizers for their distinctive warmth and unmatched fidelity. The TimewARP 2600 delivers the same fat sound with twice the flexibility; at a fraction of the price of the original. This is one synth that you can't afford to be without.

A Miracle of Science!

By developing their own proprietary and optimized virtual analog oscillators and filters, WOW brings the most accurate digital reproduction of the 2600's fat analog sound to your desktop. All of the original control features from the ARP 2600 are there, and because you can now save your carefully programmed patches, the TimewARP 2600 is even better than the real thing!

The ARP 2600 synthesizer helped define the music of an era. Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein," The Who's "Who Are You," The Tubes, Jean Michel Jarre, Deep Purple, and on and on. Only 3,000 ARP 2600's were produced between 1970 and 1981, and they've been trading hands among collectors for thousands of dollars ever since.

Appreciate the input from someone who knows what an actual Arp 2600 sounds like. I suppose I simply don't like the sound. You compared the TimewARP to u-he Diva, to me that is the best VA on the market, it's simply beautiful. The Arturia sounds good to me, not a favourite, but better than the timewarp. Perhaps I didn't spend enough time with it, honestly the level differences when switching presets turned me off to it very quickly.

The easiest way to compare the two would be to AB the original 2600 Patch Book presets which are included with both (Old version of Arturia 2600, but the presets can be converted) which I have done a bit of in the past and again with this release. For me the Arturia version is a bit cleaner & modern sounding per say but overall I would say that I prefer the character of Timewarp. Regarding thus who think the Timewarp plugin is "terrible", I am curious what your preferences are in general with regard to texture or atmosphere in music which possibly may explain why you would think that the Arturia plugin is light years ahead. For me the Arturia collection often sounds a bit cheesy in my opinion but I think the same about most music recorded after 1979 but that's just my preference.

Activation failed on Win10 Sonar.
Entered Registration Code and pressed OK button , Sonar stopped working.

Edited:Maybe my Sonar version is too old.

What are people producing with this? Sega genesis soundtracks? I understand the fascination with vintage sounding synths, but I think I'll pass on this one.

I know this is a 2 year old upload, but in case anyone has subscribed to this, has anybody else noticed the guitar effects preset bank doesn't work? And were you able figure out how to load them. I tried importing them and got the message, "the selected file does not appear to be a valid patch archive". But I got this message for all the banks when importing, not just guitar effects. Additionally, all the presets end in ".wow." The selection box shows that the patches or presets are called "TimewARP Files." So I don't know if all this is natural or if R2R modified the banks as part of the cr@ck.
