Absolutely crazy story. As you know I'm also from germany...but never had the feeling police is giving a damn shit about software piracy/cracking and reverse engineering. They are much to stupid to handle that kind of delicts and they know it!

I know that in Germany the police is bitchy with piracy related "crimes".
A guy I know (a top reverser, I mean, a real genius) stopped releasing years ago after having problems
with police there (and also cause he have a real life ).
he still work for fun in the underground though, but he had hard times for that story...

i think it was meant in terms of cracking software/reversing, im sure the guy thought its illegal to posses them in germany?!
