Mixbus™ is a full-featured Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) with "True Analog Mixing"™: a combination of Harrison's world-renowned sound and features in a knob-per-function interface. Mixbus™ provides a solution for engineers and mixers who need a recorder, editor and mixing system with world-class sound and features.

Mixbus Features:

Straightforward “knob per function” mixer layout based on Harrison's renowned 32-series and MR-series music consoles.
DSP sounds based on Harrison's world-renowned analog and digital mixing console experience.
Precision algorithms for EQ, Filter, Compression, Analog Tape Saturation, and Summing.
Unlimited stereo or mono input channels, each with unlimited plugins, sends, and hardware inserts. (limited only by CPU speed)
Phase, Input trim, High-pass Filter, Sweepable 3-band EQ, Compression, and 8 Mix Bus sends on every track.
8 Stereo Mix Buses featuring Tone controls, Compression, Sidechaining, and Analog Tape Saturation.
Stereo Master Bus that features Tone controls, Analog Tape Saturation, K-meter, Stereo Correlation Meter, and Limiter.
Automatic plugin delay compensation to support effects such as parallel compression without time misalignment.

Extensive DAW features via the Ardour Digital Audio Workstation, refined by Harrison engineers to be smooth and stable.
Industry standard plugin support: Mixbus loads VST plugins on Windows, AudioUnit plugins on OSX, and LV2 plugins on all platforms.
Industry standard audio I/O support: Mixbus uses ASIO/Directsound on Windows, CoreAudio on OSX, and JACK on Linux.

New Mixing Features in Mixbus v2

The mixer in Harrison Mixbus has been streamlined based on comments from our users. There are certain mixing tasks which are performed dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of times each day. Mixbus provides these features directly under the user's control without a moment's delay, just like our hardware consoles.

For example, the fader area contains the input trim, fader level, compressor threshold (with meter), and compressor makeup gain. This provides the most-used functions within a very small "mouse travel" distance. Compare this to other DAWs which require juggling multiple windows, popups, and menus simply to navigate these most fundamental mixing features!

Metering is another aspect of DAW design that can make mixing more fluid.

In the mixing window, Mixbus provides the channel meter, compressor gain reduction meter, tape saturation meters, peak limiting meter, K-14 average level meter, and a final peak limiting meter simultaneously. Again, compare this to other designs which require plugins from several manufacturers and several windows to find this important information. Mixbus provides it at your fingertips!

New Editing Features in Mixbus v2

Similarly, the editing model in Mixbus 2 has been highly refined based on our user's feedback, as well as the "best practices" found in other workstations.

"Smart" mode combines the features of timeline-based editing and object-based editing depending on the location of the mouse within the track.

Mixbus allows the user to quickly "swipe" across the waveform and drag the gain level up or down.

By reducing this very common task to a minimum of operations, editing in Mixbus becomes a real joy for professionals who have to work quickly.

In addition to program improvements, v2.5 includes three new plug-in demos from Harrison’s XTools for Mixbus plug-in series: the XT-EG Expander / Gate, the XT-DS De-Esser, and the innovative XT-VC Vocal Character plugin.

The XT-EG Expander / Gate provides fast gating or expansion with precision timing for demanding tracks. The XT-DS De-Esser uses proprietary processing to recognize voiced sibilance, so it can naturally de-ess your tracks. Finally, the XT-VC Vocal Character plug-in offers an innovative new way to adjust the character of your vocal recordings. It uses proprietary technology to track the pitch of the input signal, and applies EQ based on the note played.

2- it's not fully cracked
3- here the message i received during start up : the Harrison mixbus plugin is UNLICENCED
and will generate periodic noise.

At those that face some troubles as previously stated by some Users :

- Harrison Mixbus is 32bit (x86) ONLY !
Nevertheless, it can be run and used properly within 64bit OS (I'm using it under 'Win 8.1 - 64bit'), but as a 32bit app.

- When you scan for your 'VST Plugins', most of your 'x86-32bit' Versions will be validate, whereas it will not recognize your 'x64-64bit' Plugin Versions. Simply use 'JBridge' if you want to have some of your 'x86-64bit' Plugins available within it.

- About the 'Registration Process'. As clearly stated by 'Team R2R', either use the pre-generated License, or create yours (with the desired User Name) with the provided 'Keygen', and simply place it in your Desktop.
At the first launch, 'Harrison Mixbus' will find it automatically and validate the Registration.
All the other needed Licenses (for the included 'Harrison' Plugins) can also either be generated by the provided 'Keygen', or you can use the pre-generated ones. These ones must be placed in C:\Users\...You !

If you follow all these steps, all should be fine for you ! ;-)

THANK YOU R2R and Sunny!

Since I'm "Linuxing" most of the time nowadays this can come in really handy. Yay!

Hopefully there will be more audio software for Linux. Although I must say that since I started using it regularly I can't say there's lack of software of any kind... it's just not what I [we] are used to. So no "Foobar" but you can get "Audacious" which is also great, things like that... and GIMP, Inkscape and MyPaint are so great! I don't have to bother with the adobe shit any more.... fukkem.

Cheers!

You know, what I've noticed since I started using Linux is that all the older Linux apps that get compiled for Windows and possibly OSX, too, work somewhat better and smoother on Linux. I am pleasantly surprised. Mixbus is a bit buggy and slow on Windows, as well as GIMP or VLC to an extent, but as native Linux apps they work incredibly well on Linux. Same thing like Cubase working great on Windows and not so great in OSX. Never take for granted that an app you love will work the same on another OS. But gosh I would love to see Reaper on Linux. :P There is an old version that I tried, from 2011, I think. I wonder if they'll continue developing it.

Anyway, what I wanted to say is that Mixbus works flawlessly in Linux so far. I'm *very pleasantly surprised*. I thought it was quite crappy when I tried it on WIndows, but this experience completely changed my mind. What is crappy is multi-platform compilers. We can blame majority of the bugginess of multi-platform programs on these modern compilers, I think.
That's why it would be better to just have one OS for audio [Linux :)] and get it over with corporations and proprietary formats and software. Fukkemall! :P :)

p.s. You should see how well Firefox works under Linux and uses quite a bit less memory. I was stunned. Not to mention that there is a x64 version for Linux.

Cheers!

I agree with Pro Tools 10. Although on first launch it sucked the license txt and under Help/About appears to be authorized, HMB 2.5 still produces this annoying WHITE NOISE.

I totally disagree with Pro Tools 10 on "it's crap anyway". I've been using MixBus v.2.4 and although there are a few bugs, the app overall is pretty impressive and it does give a mix this special "velvety" audio character.

Well, pity this is not crkd properly. Eagerly waiting the R2R "WORKING!" version :-(

Thanks anyway R2R and Sunny

Yes when we get a version for MAC OSX working ; We will be most appreciative! I am so far loving this software!

I had done everything correctly, the registration has no problems. The problem is periodic white noise. Is the crack not complete? How do I remove the white noise?

And also this software is a CPU hog. Is there any way to reduce CPU usage? I am trying to find plugins that will work with it and will not bog down the CPU.

I too have noticed this. I was excited about using it and everything was running smoothly until I heard the occasional white noise. It seemed to register fine as well. This must not be a complete crack? I also noticed that I wasn't getting sound from anything above like the 20th track. I wonder if that is part of the limitations as well? Anyway, those two issues render this download useless for me. If anyone has an answer for this please reply, otherwise I'll be deleting this. There goes my hopes for having a straightforward mix console with that warm analog sound. Oh well, back to plug in galore. :)

Okay so let's narrow this down, anyone NOT having white noise and has this working?
