Portable Standalone
EZmix is a simple, yet powerful mixing tool that gives you access to a huge array of mix presets for the whole gamut of mixing needs. Whether you need to mix drums, vocals, guitars, bass or keyboards this is your tool. Simply insert EZmix on a channel strip in your sequencer, and pick a preset to apply to your audio source. Done. In addition, EZmix comes with a standalone host that you can use to practice your guitar with using the included amplifiers and cabinets simulations. Of course, those are available when using your recording application too!

Fixed in version 2.0.9:

optimized CPU usage for presets that use an Octaver effect.
in Audio Setup in the standalone on Mac, some audio device names were truncated.
when using Save As in the 64-bit standalone host on Mac OS 10.7 or newer, there were sometimes double dialogs asking if an existing file should be overwritten.
the file name pattern is now correctly displayed as "*.ezmp" in the Save As dialog in the standalone (previous versions had it as "*ezmp").
loading EZmix in GarageBand X should now use the same location for user preferences and favorites as when it was loaded in other hosts.
small adjustments to the way effects are displayed to the user in tooltips.

its a great standalone on a laptop infront of a tv playing, you open up wavepad soundtap with this program and put headphones on, you can record some random various effected vocal samples for yourself.. good times

Not exactly as a 'VST' Plugin...

You must to use all these 'USB Portable' or 'USB Mobile' Editions in 'Standalone' Mode...
and that's their main goal !

This way, you can always (among all the available !) have with you (USB Key) your 'beloved' VST Plugins in their 'Standalone' Versions ready to be used within another Computer (Friends, Neighbours, Studios, Live situations,... ) without to have to rely on your own Computer (which by essence contains the 'VST' Plugins counterparts).

A bit of trolling, but I simply felt the urge to stress this. Mixing this way will never work. Mixing is like painting, a dynamic and creative process. You can't have presets for a dynamic and creative processes like that. This is what so many people don't understand about mixing. Presets for EQ and compressors are just laughable. You can have a starting point presets, but a starting point is just a starting point, and I use them, too. My starting points for various situations. But to just use presets to equalise or compress tracks universally from metal to jazz or classics... it's just not possible to get a great mix that way. Good maybe, but great - no way. For a great mix you have to use your ears and knowledge, not presets. <-- full stop

It's pretty much the same with mastering. You can't replace a man with ears and quality tools with a preset plugin. No way. Even when your idea of mastering is just slapping a good quality limiter on the master buss. A plugin cannot judge if it sounds good or not. Only you can judge that.

Cheers! Sorry but I had to offload this... Mixing is not "EZ". And It never will be. It's a creative process that results *differently every time*.
