The VC 2A is one of three new vintage compressors from NI that feature DSP guts from modelling experts Softube - note that you can buy all three for €199. The plug-ins operate inside NI's free Guitar Rig 4 Player. The VC 2A models the famous Teletronix LA-2A. This electro-optical design is popular for its simple two-knob layout (input gain and peak reduction) and its forgiving level-dependent attack and release behaviour.

VC 2A FX 1.1:

- Advanced integration in Maschine 2.0 host software.
- Added 64-Bit AAX support for ProTools 11.
- Added mouse pointer hiding when changing a parameter.
- Fixed VC 2A VU-Meter scale showing -5 dB twice.
- Fixed clickable area size for A/B preset switch.
- Fixed parameter change range during mouse drag.
- Fixed Service Center warning about missing standalone version.
- Fixed Demo-End-Screen partly being hidden and blocking the host.

AAX Plugin is patched : You need cracked AAX Host to use.

Thanks for the Release. It might be helpful to State in the info that this Requires windows 7 or higher as i believe many users may still be running XP or Vista

Bad Patch - Wants Authorisation.

Same goes for the other Compressors and EQs released yesterday.

Since the exact same problem was with Maschine2 (and others have reported problems with FM8 and GuitarRig as well) it is probably safe to assume that none of what was released yesterday is going to work properly.

0on3 I feel you brother, got me frustrated as well. Eventually we will have to upgrade, I just don't have the money for a new build at the moment. More and more developers will stop supporting XP, it's sad but true. And I'll respond a little later to that last PM, sorry it's taking so long. Mailbox is getting hammered on both forums more than ever. Trying to get back to everyone, no easy task.

Works perfect here (Cubase 7.0.6 x64 - Win 7 x64).
I think the trick with NI latest releases is to install ALL previous updates and THEN install the latest update. As an example, for FM8 you need to install v1.2.0, then v1.2.1 and finally v1.3.0. If you don't install v1.2.1, then v1.3.0 will ask to authorize.

You can rush cos it works.
The NI_InstReg tool may not work (didn't try it, so dunno ), but if you follow what I've wrote above, everything will work just fine, at least for all the recent updates - with maybe the exception of Maschine2 which I don't use.

actually it turns out that maschine was the culprit...a fix has been released and now everything is all right wink
