they all sound pretty basic from what ive read on the wavelab site..

These are a pack of simple plugins that can so come in handy at times. There are a few ones for Cubase on Steinberg FTP that I really find useful, too, like the simple noise gate. However, not many Steinberg plugins have been programmed with quality of DSP in mind, but for efficiency, so I wouldn't really use them for mastering, but tracking, sound design etc.

UV22 HR is a good dither. Not that I think dither matters so much, but dithering in itself does matter.

How about initiate an underground cracking contest. Every person who wants to have Cubase 7 spends 1$ (= 1 million $) (some kind of crowd founding! rofl ) and then ask every cracking group to join the contest and crack cubase..The group that successfully cracks it, gets 500.000 $, the second group with a proven working crack gets 250.000...... I think this would be a great stimulation for a cracking group even to try to crack it! And as far as I know, cracking (reverse engeneering) in some countries (germany for example) isnt even illegal rofl
