btw, turns trepadacious out IS an actual word

reverse engineering is a very complicated art, and troubleshooting all possible problems when various end users have vastly different windows setups must be hard indeed... maybe the Dr. can get feedback on how and when the daw crashes so he can try to workaround those issues...i just decompile code and reassemble a tiny bit to teach myself stuff, just for fun, so am in no way an expert

I won't be trying this release, but thank you regardless. Semi-working, poorly cracked, or whatever, once again there is a glimmer of hope. Glad people are still out there trying to tackle the harder software protection methods. Respect! ... My pity to those complaining that they have to reinstall their earlier crack. Oh, the agony. The minutes wasted. The gift horse in the mouth...

This old outdated software is still one of the best DAWs ever, capable of everything available today. I've recently moved onto 7, but I still compose using the 5.1 crack on my x86 laptop, and for me it beats all of the Abletons, FLs, Reasons, etc., every time. Capable of everything and then some! :)

Well, I like to have fun with testing releases and trying to crack some programs myself... it's fun. :) Thank you Dr.!

However, I have a Cubase 5.1.2 x64 crack that works perfectly, courtesy of the Pirate Bay. :) What we really need is working 5.5.3 x64, too, not just x86 and I haven't managed to find or crack version 5.5.3.

Just changed the calls in program code of the original cubase.exe and the plugIns. Originally they call the SYNSOACC.dll. He changed the call to his Emulator (CU5.5EMU.DLL).
In Air's Cubase v5.1.2 the program called their "SYNSOEMU.DLL". Strange thing is that Dr. Mehdi Swensen's CU5.5EMU.DLL also calls the "SYNSOEMU.DLL" (the Emu from AIR) Could it really be so easy? As I'm not a programmer I dont understand what else his CU5.5EMU.DLL does. But if its just a kind of bypassing I dont understand why it took so long to do so?!

My next legal software = Cubase 7 or even 8 ^^

The 5.1.2 x86 version works very great for me, except the TimeWarp, Audio pitch correct tool and Audio to Midi extraction. I use then Melodyne. Maybe my install is broken...

I don't download this stuff... I even don't know this Doctor... It would be like going to a Albanian underground dentist with my childrens... rofl
