lukehh, Sure It was released on Demonoid old good days... It was just a little Update 5.1.1 is like the same without the Cubase Starting project Menu.

If you're on 5.1.1 I will tell you, stay on it for now. Just my POV.

I dont know where you think you can buy a full version of Cubase 7 for 250$. Regular price for it is 599 Euro incl. VAT (19%) = 799$! Even on Ebay you wont pay less.
So if you post a link for a legal version of Cubase 7 for 250$ (187 Euro) no matter if used or new one...I promise you to buy it! yes

OK..now we have to make something clear. Is anybody able even to update an already cracked version of Cubase (for exampe v5.1.2 with Air's Dongle Emu)? Or does it really have to be an original (uncracked) Version of Cubase 5.x.x like the nfo says?
For me, I'm not even able to update Cubase v5.1.2 AIR Version.

Second question..where are these (in post description) mentioned "Crashdump files"?

It's obvious when something of this nature comes out that maybe you should wait until one of our other members tests it out first. You chose to try it out knowing this and there was already feedback saying that it didn't work so you only have yourself to blame. I'm on Cubase 5.1.2 but I didn't try it and therefore I'm not having a fit right now.

I use Cubase 7 without any problems together with the dongle. Never had a problem in 10 years with the dongle either. :)

frito zanzibar: Cubase 7 is not 500 dollars!! Its available for 250 dollars and you can get it even cheaper if you buy it second hand. For $399 you can get HALion 4 AND Cubase 7.

Time is money, so dont waste your time with lousy old non-working cracks and buy the things you use.

Oh so you weren't aware of the recent iLok disaster with their ridiculous ball and chain system? Yes I know it's iLok and not Syncrosoft but just the fact that something like that could happen is just more reason for me not to use it and add to that the plethora of other reasons such as it could break, get stolen, etc. and I've already tuned out. And let's not forget that I actually have to pay for the privilege of giving vampires a guarantee that they can suck my blood for years to come. Sorry I don't do dongles and there are plenty of products that I will shell out for just not any protected with ridiculous crap that people justify simply because they bought into it. Would you also be okay with them scanning your fingerprints or anally probing you before you get to use the software you paid for or is there somewhere that we draw the line? My peace of mind is more valuable to me and I'll die before I support a bullshit industry. Fuck dongles! I hope all the pricks that make them die in a hole.

Yeah and I certainly don't know where people are getting their Cubase for $250. And doesn't the 5.1.2 have installations for both 32 and 64-bit? I don't know personally because I'm on x86 but I thought it came in the package.

Have anyone ever tried updating Cubase to 5.5 and renaming synsoemu.dll to synsoacc.dll? :) Since Steinberg's Cubase uses synsoacc calls... AiR probably renamed it to synsoemu.dll because then you can use another cracked synsoacc for something else like Arturia synths.

I remember doing some testing in that regard, but I can't remember what I got since I don't use Cubase, but I install it to friends and clients and they all use v5.1.1.120 for years now. This 5.1.1.120 x32/x64 version I found on Pirate Bay, but I haven't tested x64 yet since I don't use x64 because I don't need to use more memory. x86 version works perfectly, though. It uses the cracked synsoacc.dll by AiR and one more file made by some Spanish cracker...

you just have to move the Content folder at C: \ Documents and Settings \ All Users \ Application Data \ Steinberg elsewhere ... and there will understand yourself more, or as a return as her.

I have some doubts:

The nfo says:

" 1. iNSTALL Orginal Steinberg Cubase Version 5.0.0 , And Don't run App.
2. iNSTALL Cubase 5.5.3 Factory Update x86 - Orginal , And Don't run App
3. Delete : components , vst3 , VSTPlugins folders and Cubase5.exe in installed path .
4. replace : components , vst3 , VSTPlugins folders and Cubase5.exe from download package .

I have, like many others, the ISO of version 5.1 and here is required the version 5.0.0 and only the update ver 5.5.3.
It does not talk nothing about installing the intermediate upgrades 5.1.0, 5.1.1 and 5.1.2.

Someone you tried to follow the instructions EXACTLY as they are described?

There is no cracked x64 version of any Cubase 5 release by any group, never has been, probably never will be. Some people may have installed the x86 version on a x64 system, but it's still 32 bit. End of!

you need to upload the 5.0.0 version because warez users have the 5.1 version (iso file from AiR release).

It works but with some problems:

Groove Agent One crashes the program, uninstalling it everything works.

You use in the tutorial for 5.5.3 upgrade a file called "Cubase Patch 553" instead of the "Cubase_5.5.3_Update.exe" (build 651) that can be downloaded from Steinbergs FTP.

I dont know where do you get this file but it is not in Steinbergs FTP.

The main differences is that your file DOES NOT install the Syncrosoft eLicencer and DOES NOT install Groove Agent One with the new sound sets.

Bypassing both installations the program works fine but installing the Groove Agent One the program crashes trying to check "content".

Of course works without Groove Agent One.

890zx is right. i too have installed steinberg's official update and had to uninstall both groove agent one and e-licenser to make it work. also, it seems whenever you load an instrument (and who knows what else) "a serious problem occurs". simply it is not worth risking; even if it does work well enough it is not that much better than team air's 5.1.2 . but congratulations to the "doctor", this is something...
