that sucks if the internal plug-ins dont work

Why people is always complaining!?... C'mon guys, you're getting this for free, you can use all your cracked VSTs in Windows, all your cracked AUs in Mac (VSTs in the near future), and LV2 in all systems (Linux included) and still are you complaining because you can't use a single reverb and delay!?!?

And then we say that politicians and banker's greed created this worldwide economical crisis in which we all are living now! ... But in fact WE ALL are guilty of making this world worse and worse each day it passes, and not only a few of us!

The idea is that you use your midi and vsti in Cubase or Reaper etc, convert to audio then import the stems into Mixbus and mixdown

Thank you, Horsemen! And thanks for Hulkfile, too. Good file hoster.

Exactly, oisinn. ;)

It is weird if the Harrison plugins don't work, if the Mixbus is licensed, though, but I don't care. The channel strip is working? That's what's important. ;)

I completely agree with your thoughts on greed, fraggle83. Rare people think like that and realise that it is also we, us, who are to blame for the whole fucked up situation, too. wink

but it looks awesome.

And here's a really good YouTube channel to understand the ins and outs of Mixbus and realize its real power (overcoat the "Harrison Mixbus Overview Seg 1 and 2" are a must to watch) ... Enjoy it!

EDIT: i've discovered this GREAT MIX SITE, too.

The channel strip is working?

It does work! yes And as i've said, you can use your usual VSTs (if you're in windows) or your usual AUs (if you're in Mac) or even LADSPA/LV2 in any of the three systems supported (win, mac, and lynux) yes

Did they improve on the CPU-load?

Last time I tried Mixbus (a year ago or so), I imported 25 audio tracks, and tried to simply play them back.
It was impossible to do on my Intel Core2Duo laptop.
The CPU-load was so high that a simple playback of 25 audio tracks (without any processing) was impossible.

I have a much more powerful computer now, but stil...

fraggle83,
i was not complaining about anything,i appreciated and also wrote "nice one!"(a part that you omitted in your quote).I only wanted to know if someone else was having the same issue with internal plugins, and maybe have some feedback about it. Anyway i just don't understand how this can be related to the worldwide economical crisis...and besides i do my little part to make things better everyday,so please don't judge people you don't know by a misunderstood post on a forum.
have a nice day

and the license file dissapear on desktop.

This is normal. After imported into the program, Mixbus deletes the license file, which means that license has been accepted and the program is now registered. So, maybe is something in your machine that prevents Mixbus to start (some driver,...). Do you have some virtual machine installed in your system (virtual box,...) ?. If it is so, maybe you could try to install it temporarely there and see if it works (just to be secure that the problem is coming from your machine or from the program itself).

korniceman3000A

No problem here, neither with jDownloader nor with the web browser. Could be that some malware would have modified your host file ?. Could be that your ISP had banned any access to uploaded.to (and anyother direct download server) ?. dunno

Do you have some virtual machine installed in your system ?

Thanx m8 for your effort. But no I haven't any virtual machine. I have a lot of issues with standalone software versions (i.e. BFD-2, Sound Forge, etc) but I can fix that changin' compatibility options. Maybe it's an ASIO drivers issue.. (I've got Digi-002r soundcard), but I think that also can be the screen resolution...But, who knows? damn

fraggle83,

No malware. Just checked. The only website that I cannot access is uploaded.net. I pinged it twice and it timed out. I flushed the dns cache and pinged again but it still timed out. jdownloader. How does one check what sites are banned by their ISP?

Please advise. Thank you for the help!

I have a lot of issues with standalone software versions

And could it not be related then to file permissions ?. I explain you ... i'm in Mac, and it's well known by any Mac user that sometimes some cracked apps when you try to run it just pop up in the doc for a second and then disappear without starting at all. The solution then is to restart the file permissions with some tool and after that the app starts and runs as it should do. So, don't know if file permissions works the same way in windows, but perhaps you could try to look for the solution in that direction dunno .

Another thing that comes to mind right now is that we in Mac, despite modern systems work in 64Bit, there's the option to force an application to run in 32Bit mode and this solve some problems sometimes. So, maybe there's something similar in windows (as you say that you have a 64Bit windows) and you could try to force Mixbus (or anyother of those applications you mention) to work in 32Bit mode and see what happens! dunno .

korniceman3000A
No malware. Just checked

Then, i will suggest you to look here and try some of the solutions some people gave to italian users when suddenly they where forbidden to use some direct download servers by their governement.

With regard to how to know if your ISP is banning some sites i must say that my knowledge is very limited in this sense, but probably one solution could be changing the DNSs (as sugested in the thread i've told you above) and see if this allows you to connect to uploaded.to site then. If it works should be obvious that your ISP is banning uploaded.to ... on the other hand if that where the case, it would be really strange that they where banning one site only, and not some others too.

Another thing that comes to mind right now is that if you have a wifi connection some hacker could have entered in and modified something in your router (it can happen). So, you could try to make a router reset and check if that solves the problem (don't forget to protect again your wifi if you do that). dunno

You're a liar. Each time you create a new project there's a tab there ("Audio setup") for you to setup your audio - with 3 tabs inside named "device" (where you can setup your sound driver, sound interface, sample rate and buffer size/latency like in any other DAW), "options", and "advanced". Not to talk about what you call "crap compressor", "basic eq", and "some tape saturation"... as i've said, you're a perfect liar.

So please, go to another place with your "fucking crap"! angry

I'm defending nobody, nor i work for them, in fact i have no relation at all with music bussines (not even as profesional musician) ... I'm simply stating some facts against some lies, that's all.

How you like me now?

Should i like you or dislike you because that ?! dunno i don't think so!. You're ABSOLUTELY FREE to like Mixbus or dislike it, so i have nothing to say about it, and of course i will not start an stupid and nonsense war because that ... But please don't tell lies as Pro Tools 10 have said ... otherwise i'll pop up to show others that you're a liar as i've done above (NO MATTER the product you were referring to).

This software is the future to me. Great, but REALLY GREAT sound plugins and low CPU cost. I could install on my wife's computer that's an old mobo and runs great! Still looking for a solution in mine's one. It should be a driver's issue. Thanx fraggle83 for your suggestion. I'll check it on monday.

Thank you fraggle83. I'm using this DAW of about a year and ... I'll buy it for this price just for make an honor for developers. Its interface and workflow are the worsest in the world (if not say the real disaster) but its sound of the mix is unbeatable withing a digital domain.

Hi mates!

In case you could be interested in, i've just come to post a way on how to use your VST instrumentes with Harrison Mixbus on Mac, in AudioSex here. As i've said this trick is for Mac, but i'm prety sure that some of you, experienced windows users, will know about some similar tool to use the trick on windows too.

So, hope you enjoy Mixbus even more with this new "addon"! mates
