@ Smitty,

there s no macical course that makes u play fast

Maybe not 'Magical Course', but if you're in the run to want to play fast along your guitar neck (more or less like a 'Racehorse' !!! rofl ),
it certainly exists some methods or techniques...

Take a close look at how play guitarists like 'Michael Angelo Batio',
'Yngwie Malmsteen', 'Vinnie Mooore', 'Frank Gambale',... just to mention
a few of these 'furious' guitarists that are rather oriented to playing fast with their instruments.
Most of them have done videos, tutorials,... yes

And above all, take a very closer look at how their plectrums and wrists
are involved in a kind of great economy of movements. Most of them don't even move their wrists, thus leading to a fast playing with their right hand. Of course, you must also train your left hand as well, but with some of
the 'modern' techniques available nowadays ('Legato', 'Sweeping',... ),
you can certainly get better results that was the case decades ago... yes

most of them hav done videos and most of their videos r useless.i can be as fast as malmsteenn when i need to,idn i bought a lot of books and methods and videos, none of them actually worked, jut because a vdeo is an hour long it doesn t mean it takes an hour to play like shredder.have u ever watched steve morse playing?fast as lightning, but if u analize hiz movements and try to copy them u don t go anywhere,he holds the pick in such a strange way that for me is very uncomfortable, obviously it works for him,it doesn t mean if works for someone else.every guitar player u mentioned has his own way to face the challenge of guitar speed, and everyone should actually find their own way, since we re all phisically different.what i learnt and, that no method-book.video ever focused enough or at all,is the importance of synchrony between right and left hand, since they have to work together.
saying thar some results weren t achieved decades ago is simply not true,or maybe,it s true in rock music, but if u think of other genres the speed of the people u mentioned r surely remarkable, but not impressive.just think of flamenco for folk music,or if u wanna checjk at more educated levels watche the bizzet's carmen,a few guitar parts in it but very important and the speed the guitar ist reaches there just makes u feel sick.
and speed is actually a very relative factor: playing a fast run on a single string doens t mean the guitarist won t suck and get lost when he has to skip the string.
i just give u three examples to explain:if u ask malmsteen, morse and gambale to play the same scale along the fretboard, they will play it differently, malmsteen will keep use the alternate picking but will kep the pick direction when he has to skep on the adiacent string;morese will just use the alternate picking also during the string skippings; gambale will pluch the forst onte on every string and will use the legato technique for the other notes and will keep the same direction of the pick until he gets to the last string:
which technique is the best? there s not a right answer,it a s matter of purposes.
to get back to my initial point,a method,a software,or a video that as premise askes if u can practice 20 minutes a day for 2 months as if they were enough to play fast is simply bullshit.
time, sweat, pain, control and desire are what make u improve and play faster, then when u finally manage to play at the speed of light u can go to watch some videos on youtube of 6 yrs old children who can play as fast as u and the bunch of guys most of which didn t survive the 90's ,and u ll realize that speed is one of the tools u must have, not the goal u have to achieve
