Full controll of remix decks of traktor, 1 solid program
Hi,
Some may know me from the article at the DJTECHTOOLS-website (4 hack projects unlock the remix decks of traktor). I’ve massively improved the program.
For those who haven’t heard of me before: The main feature of the program is to controll the remix decks ( all 64 pads like the F1) in traktor pro.
It let you map the pads of every controller to the samples in traktor, and you can also change the sample-page via buttons on a controller.
With others words: you have full controll of the pads like the F1.
Other features (like volume controll/filter-controll) are map-able in traktor, so I didn't include them in the program.
Overview of the features are shown in this video:
The other remix-deck features(like volume control, filter) are already available in traktor, so you can map them the normal way.
So how do I did this:
(short version)
When you press a pad on your controller, your controller sends a midi-command to the computer.
My program recognizes the midi command and simulates the right mouse-click in traktor.
That's the short version.
Inside the program, are a lot of features to make it more easy to use.
Features:
- Autosave and Autoload: So you have to do the setup only once
- Guided setup to setup your midi-device
- Handy interface to assign the pads of your device
Because the program works with mouse-clicks, the program is not lay-out dependend.
The only thing i have to fix is the full screen mode of traktor. (check my facebook page for updates)
For those who couldn’t get trough the setup, I’ve made a tutorial on youtube.
The program is free, and downloadable with no ads or surveys.
I just want to help the DJ community to break free the "lock" on the remix decks. My opinion is that DJ'ing is all about creativity and breaking limits. Not create them.
