But audioz.info features an "OSX corner", so we have to live with these braindeads.

For me, apple is one of the most evil companies...they took a free operating system, that has a special bsd licence that made it possible for apple to steal this opensource operating system by editing, closing the sourcecode and selling it for much money.
every minor update costs more then a windows 7 home licence!
Apple hardware isnt bad - yeah - and its made by foconn in china, which isnt not so nice.
If I ever would get an apple computer I would for sure install linux or bsd on it!
Again, for me apple is one of the most evil companies in the world!

He has also took an existing OS (MS-DOS v6.22 to be exact !), then he has made a few enhancements... and you know the following of the story,

The worst in this story is that's not even himself that has done the hard part of this work. It's his father (Mr. William Gates 'Senior') that has greatly helped him to accomplish the first 'official' Windows 3.11 OS !

...and selling it for much money.

difference between american and "other" tax systems: in the US you can put virtual values in your tax papers like saying windows is so great that just the name is worth a billion!

Again there are huge differences between gates and apple:
stealing is illegal, also in the US..so if billgates would have stolen something this would have had some serious consequences, wouldnt it???

What's really astonishing regarding Mac users is that there has never been more stuff released for Mac ever than these days, and they still weep, and plead, and beg for Mac versions all around every audio forum I regularly visit, even when Mac version of some software is actually impossible to make. Funny crowd... and mostly lacking in basic computer knowledge, too.

Funny though, on the other hand, a few guys I know and really respect for their computer knowledge love their Macs, mostly because it's BSD. So it's not a rule that only computer illiterate use Macs.

On the official Studio One forum, a guy was complaining that Studio One doesn't look good on his new 3000 $ MacBook Pro with retina display, and he expressed his wish that the developers hopefully will do something about it soon.

Then he posted a screenshot of Studio One, where you could clearly see he uses a version from Team AiR...

But there's plenty of Apps, Programs and Plug-Ins especially done for 'LINUX' for audiophiles and musicians... Of course, they are certainly not
so numerous than for PC or MAC OSX, but some of them have really nothing to envy at those done for PC or MAC OSX !

'Ardour', for example, it's almost the 'LINUX' equivalent (or counterpart)
of Pro Tools...
Various audio editors are also available, not to mention the increasing availability of Soft Synths and Effects with GUIs that have nothing to envy to their PC or MAC OSX counterparts.
And what about the 'special' Audio LINUX distributions that are focused solely on audio related stuff in an 'all-in-one' Audio Studio fashion...

If you make some deep searches in the right places, I'm pretty convinced that you'll find a lot of interesting 'LINUX' stuff to make audio and music with high quality. yes
