ArtsAcoustic BigRock v1.0.7 WIN OSX screenshot
Team AiR | Feb 26 2012 | 34.4.MB
BigRock is an authentic, accurately modeled emulation of the legendary Electro-Harmonix Small Stone, a phase shifting stomp box, of which its first revision was released in 1974.

However, being 2010, ArtsAcoustic has of course overcome most of the limitations of the original and equipped BigRock with the necessary features in an special advanced mode. For example, BigRock allows stereo input and processes the signal in stereo, while the original Small Stone was strictly mono. Essentially, you now have the ability to edit BigRock in most of the common phaser parameters such as the dry/wet mix, the center frequency, the LFO amount and the stereo phase offset of the LFO. You can also sync the LFO frequency to the host, always in phase to the sequencer's play position.

ArtsAcoustic also equipped the BigRock with a highpass/lowpass filter section, so you can balance out the signal, before it enters the phaser stage. The two resonance states on the original Small Stone are actually two different designs, it's not just more or less resonance by far. On BigRock ArtsAcoustic implemented a continuous parameter, so you can now morph between the original high color and low color mode, or adjust anything in between. Of course, as all parameters in the BigRock are automatable, this opens a tremendous amount of creative possibilities, all of which were not possible with the original Small Stone.

Easy to use.
Authentic sound.
Very low CPU usage.
Full stereo.
Host sync in phase.
Sync phase adjustment.
Stereo l/r offset.
Add. filter section.
Continuous color adjustment.
Dry/wet mix.
Amount adjustment.
Center frequency adjustment.
Fully automatable.

This is one of the best native phasers out there!

And it had a difficult encryption/protection!

Good job AiR! Thanks!

Hey thanks for this, but I can't seem to open it up on Mac - Iv'e tried both links and different extractors, but they tell me they can't find a file called something like a-br107.r00. Is this something to do with the file 'crc changer' which tells you to delete it? Can anyone point me in the right direction - I'm dying to try this out? dunno

edit - I get crc failed also

Comment on current sharing providers...

I'm steamed today about how a many sharing sites start you out on a blazing speed with a few minutes for DL and send up at an hour for DL after a few minutes... No complaining just facing the current realities for sharing files... The 35 mb file above I'm DL'ing was 3 minutes at very start is now 35 minutes after a minute or two... Keep up your awesome works everyone !

For anyone having trouble extracting it on a mac: You need to unrar the folders separately (a to e or whatever) then make a new folder on the desktop. Drag the files over to the new folder then extract them from there and it should extract them properly. (if that makes sense) Same goes for the Arts Acoustic compressor folder. Worked for me :)

If that bothers you, just change it.

Procedure for Windows:

1) Install

2) Delete C: \ Users \ <Username> \ AppData \ Roaming \ ArtsAcoustic \ BigRock \ aaconfig.ini

3) Take SerialBR.txt from OSX version, replace [email protected] with whatever email address you like best

4) Copy contents of edited .txt into clipboard, run host, load plugin

Plugin will pick up data from clipboard and write a fresh aaconfig.ini to Roaming\ArtsAcoustic\BigRock

Check File\About to see if everything went OK.

If it did, 'Registered to:' will now show your own email address.

If something went wrong, 'Registered to:' will be empty, plugin will run in demo mode and saving/restoring presets will not work.

Note: If you backup your .ini and the BigRock folder, (assuming you have installed the presets into it as well), you can reinstall the plugin at any time without using the installer. Since the plugin does not use the registry nor any system folders besides Roaming, all you have to do is put the BigRock folder in your plugins dir and your .ini in Roaming\ArtsAcoustic\BigRock. The path to the UserPresets, (if you decide to set one,) will be saved into that .ini as well. To avoid using the installer on your real system in the 1st place you can simply install into a sandbox, have the plugin create your personalized .ini and then copy the stuff out for archiving / putting it on the real system. (Thats what i did.)

PS: Everything outlined above should work for the CL Series package as well. (I didnt have the time to check yet but im pretty sure.) Will install it later this afternoon and report in case anything differs.

PPS: Thanks to AiR for providing and Horsemen for the share. yes

Yes, Smithy is right! These are confusing, unnecessary split up packages which eat up a lot of memory. But as known, some guys like it to make it complicated.

many thanks for this! wink

Smithy - you are a star - thanks so much - but man, that was complicated! And thanks Horsemen wink

{edit} For real phaser lovers who haven't already, get hold of Audiodamage's phase two - it's the best I've tried personally, although this is great in a different way.
