[dead] Dont Crack V.I.P Bundle VST RTAS v1.1.2 x86/x64

I dunno your opinion about these plugins but honestly I tried em and I understand whay they were called "dont crack"...cuz its really not worth the trouble...so much better out there...I think they sound horrific!...but thanks for sharing whatsoever

Yeah, `tis DUMBING down the process, however, IF all Ya doin is learning enough to take it to the BIG BOY processors then ALL IS VERY VERY COOL.

I know what Donovan has said, i have read the thread at KVR.

The bottomline of what he was saying is that:

1) Many different devs have contributed bits and pieces (and 'inspiration')

2) None of the GUIs are Nomad Factory or Mellowmuse*

(*The GUIs have all been made by Hans Van Even of Musicworks)


Ergo the statement 'Its Nomad Factory' is just not correct.

Unless Donovan was lying (which admittedly is something i wouldnt put past anyone who is trying to market stuff these days) this package is simply a conglomerate of bits and pieces contributed by various developers...

I actually think it's the other way around . . I think they've approached some of the developers they previously worked with to create this suite and it's those developers who don't want their brands damaged by customers' awareness that their algorithms may be available under another brand and possibly for a cheaper price, hence the NDA that DC are adherent to.

Audio software is made under licence ALL THE TIME and this whole DC scenario has made it quite obvious that most users of Audioz and also KVR and Gearslutz just don't realise this. DC is far from the first brand to have plugins developed for them by a pre-existing developer. It's not at all unrealistic to think that the algorithms for different DC plugs have come from different developers, the ONLY thing that unites these plugs is the brand name and the common interface.

The fact that the interface has caused so much confusion (the whole Nomad Factory connection) just further illustrates my point that a lot of people aren't aware about common practices from plugin developers. A lot of developers hire artists/designers to create their interfaces for them and GASP! Some of these artists/designers have unique styles and do design work for more than one developer!! A DC plugin that looks like a Nomad Factory plugin doesn't mean that all the DC plugs are automatically Nomad Factory algorithms, that's a naive assumption.

There are plenty of examples that pre-date the DC plugin range, just off the top of my head: Abbey Road hired both Softube AND Chandler/EMI to create their Abbey Road branded plugin range, Toontrack EZmix uses algorithms from Overloud, Izotope licences their algorithms to just about anybody and the Audio Damage Eos Reverb algorithm is actually by Sean Costello @ ValhallaDSP . . . I know Brainworx has done some stuff for other brands and from memory the SSL Duende X-EQ was created under licence . .

If nothing else it's very interesting to see how a plugin's interface and the developer it comes from will shape an end-user's impression of how good or bad the plugin SOUNDS. I wouldn't be surprised if 90% of plugin purchases and downloads are based on nothing more than brand power! Otherwise why would Waves be so damn expensive and so damn popular? ;]

this thread was started to say how bad this plugins are. i replied that they couldn't be that bad because they are nomad factory. i cant see that you proove me wrong. only the aspect that not only nomad factory but also other developers are involved didn't make my reply to a naive assumption in the way you ment.

Very funny, at a point you start to use this plug-ins some works, some not. You will get the message that maybe the plug-in is not correctly installed. You will usually deinstall and reinstall the prog. And all projects toys are involved will open the screen "maybe this tool is not installed correctly." then. You will delete the tool from the track and try to insert newly, but you will not find the Don't Crack Tools anymore! Dont know about other DAW's, maybe it's still working there on 32 bit systems.

EDIT:
WTF ... still does not work if you do right and install the 32-bit DLLs in a 32-bit System. YOU MUST DO VICE VERSA to get it to work. Is Fenrir from Assign smoking too much dope?
