how this compares vs Valhalla, I mean, I know Lexicon reputation for hardware... but they translate well to software? I'm happy with Valhalla even using the "lexicon"-inspired presets posted in this site.

This is better than Valhalla. Valhalla are COMPLETELY over-rated and always were, just cos they were cheap and picked up a load of fanboys. The verbs on Valhalla are grainy and cheap sounding, muddy too vs Lexicon and even some others.

I wouldn't use Valhalla for free, I tried them for one projected and hated how they sounded.

This Lex PCM is still the all round best algo verb out there. Quality doesn't need gimmicks.

BTW this isn't about translating to software THIS IS THE EXACT CODE from the hardware (which is digital). It's pure lex algorithm goodness and the best out there for the serious (non gimmick) of mixing which in most cases should use fairly sublte verbs these days anyway, the tails on the lex haven't been beaten.

And I don't like convolution verbs like 7th heaven etc, they end up sounding fake and unnatural. Lex PCM is it... set and forget!

it's same code but like 90% of reverb it's convolution , we can say hybrid.
they use impulse to give the reverb sound, and after the algo the modulation like pitch shift, phaser, flanger,......
"Although not a convolution-based reverb, all room presets use early-reflection impulses from well-known rooms as starting points for creating reverb. This hybrid approach retains the inherent realism of a convolution reverb but allows the precise control and manipulation possible only with reverb synthesizers. The PCM96 uses 32-bit floating-point processing, works at sample rates up to 96 kHz, and is HiQnet™ compatible."
https://www.barryrudolph.com/mix/pcm96.html
and others hardware do it too

So what peoples name algo, still a part of convolution reverb.
Easy take valhalla, creat 2 track, place vahalla vst on each and inverse phase, it don't cancel cos there is mod activate place the setting at 0% and done cancel like any basic convo reverb cos no random parameter, cos it's convolution like TC electronic, and most reverb

prefer lexicon easier to blend, you get symphony in exponential audio a little bit like Lex, still reverb that give sound to the source with the modulation like the valhalla

prefer nimbus or stratus, cos more transparent, than lex reverb type, so easier to insert in mix like TC VSS3. but depend on the track style, rock hip hop maybe lex, pop folk depend still prefer stratus , acoustic orchestral stratus

Light on CPU and still better than lot of reverb which use 10 time more CPU. The impulse they select are great and rest of modulation work well.
Even if i move to nimbus (stop thank izo, so thank a lot to R2R) for more natural and easy to blend, those lex still beast

+some performance and bug fixes doesn't say what and I've never had a problem on PT/Windows but good to have an update.

My goto verb and still the best all round mix verb going.

How do I extract the .exe file? InnoExtract doesn't work with these new installers.

Use the InnoUnpacker from this fork of innounp which supports Inno Installers up to 6.4.3:

The go-to. A collection of reverbs that ALWAYS work.

Exactly. You literally don't need other verbs for goto/mix needs, the sound quality on these has NOT been beaten regardless of hype for cheaper grainy crap from valhalla or the later gimmicks and mess from convolution verbs like 7th heaven.. nothing beats Lex PCM.

Only kind of other verbs youd need are obvious "effect" ones like blackhole/shimmer types for tracks not mixes.
