From Scaler music.
Hi everyone.

Firstly, thanks to everyone who has provided feedback—it helps us improve Scaler 3.

We’re preparing a 3.0.1 update for release next week, which will include stability improvements and some additional enhancements.

Most users experiencing stability issues have managed to resolve them, often with a reboot of their machine.

If you’re still experiencing issues, please upload your crash files to this thread, along with details of your setup (e.g., OS, DAW, or standalone version) and any steps to reproduce the problem. This will help us better address the issues you’re encountering in the 3.0.1 update.

Thanks.

I'm surprised. 3.0.0 ran, then crashed. Next one didn't run at all. Yesterday's crashed upon opening. Rebooted, crashed again. WTF? Major F up here. Special thanks to releasers for staying on top of this fiasco. What an adventure at AZ! (Standalone, Win 11 latest) 3.0.1 crashes on startup.
Edit: 5 installs, reboots, winR injections and it works! Voila! Finally! Thanks all for your tips. Perseverance furthers.

The R2R.txt says copy the reg file to APPDATA. This is incorrect, copy it to APPDATA/ROAMING. (Win)

Actually, it does NOT say to copy it to APPDATA. Instead, it says to copy it to %APPDATA%\ which is actually C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming which is a slight, but important, difference. When using the % before and after APPDATA, you are telling it to go to a Windows variable. Try it yourself - in a Windows Explorer window, type %APPDATA% and press enter. It will automatically go to C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming. Same concept if you type %TEMP% and press enter - it will take you to your Windows temp variable which is usually C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Temp for example.

If you write "%AppData%" (WITHOUT QUOTES) in the address bar of any Windows OS folder, & then you hit Enter, u'll be placed instantly inside the C:\Users\"YOUR USER"\AppData\Roaming\ folder. The % symbol always takes you to the "main user" account, no matter which name it has.

Same here. PC Intel and Windows 10. It scans only automatically after installation and then it´s not possible

Yes, it's possible. Go to Settings (3 stripes on rt) and choose 'Rescan your plugins'.

Did you restarted your system to try again?

very straNge - all of the issues. test installed 3.0.0 on a older-vintage test machine running win10 22h2 (which is offline==no internet connection at all) and it ran fine first time every time. This one is no different. The only caveat - the License file MUST be thrown in the
%appadata%\roaming" root folder. No where else. If anywhere else you get anomalous behavior from the app...
