Beware of that, sometimes is not enough, eg.; although my girlfriend & I bought several VST/VSTi packages we use to run Firewall App Blocker to only let in/out what we really need in order to get the max of our machine's resources for what we want. Surprisingly we saw (through DnsQuerySniffer) several calls to URLs as sonicacademy.com (Poly Ana), wedgeforce.com & register.waves.com (Waves), among others, which took us to our old state of *hosts editors maniacs...*(to open .EXEs, .dll, .VST3 & so on through Notepad ++) searching for EVERY url written inside.

I repeat, everything is blocked by default except for the web browsers, Whatsapp & a very few other apps absolutely non related to our music play/production.
Many non .exe files are capable to call bypassing the firewall thanx to commercial settlements between developers & Microsoft, I mean, they know how to use backdoors which are unknown for us (example; a .dll ordering Brave Browser to call home). So, in case of a deep need of *Try Before Buy* -with no restriction at all- becomes necessary a deep dive into certain topics mentioned here.

Okay, yeah, I appreciate your insight- but how about the subject on hand? Did you find additional entries to add to the host and do you have this or any recent Korneff releases running without timebombs?

I've meant that the onlyway to know if any soft is calling home is to deeply search for URLs written inside of those files & compare those URLs with those catched by sniffers as DnsQuerySniffer (great software). Beyond a total blockade could be a wrong patch &/or generated key, yes. This is a *sample-scenario* about what I'm talking, check the 2nd page comments.

Those urls are inside the VST3 file, but then I've realized that is far more simple to block the .VST3, the .AAX (or both) by this text saved as .bat & executed as Admin later;

Take in count that a deep uninstall involves to wipe off the Korneff Audio folder located in %AppData%. After re-install do not run the plugin in your daw, first u've gotta run the kg, & then repeat the blockade command. Please copy the return of the CMD window once the command is executed & paste it to a .txt, would like to read (if possible) what it says, thx.

A few posts behind I've asked about the .aax 'cause in the written .bat there's no path for the .aax, don't install it if you're not going to use it, or if you use Pro Tools we've gotta add the correspondant path. By the way, paste all those lines in your hosts file also.
