I am completely lost. I had a working v6.6 version. Now I follow the new procedure with Presonus Sphere and I am unable to use either v.6.62 or v7. Both versions ask for a license file when opened. Should I still generate the license files from the old R2R generator? I think we need a more detailed explanation.

Yes. I removed the previous installation and installed both v7 and v6.64. Then I installed the Sphere Manager and used the commands to activate them. Both still asked for a license file when opened. So I used the previous R2R license generator to generate the license files, but I would get a "license invalid" message. I also tried the "Renew Subscription" command, but nothing changed. Finally, I went back to v6.6, generated all the license files and things almost went back to normal, because now Studio One asks to connect to my account every time I open it. However, when I cancel that, it opens normally.

My question is, with the new procedure, do I still need license files, both for the program and the add-ons? I may have misunderstood, but apparently those are now unnecessary.

Has anybody managed to get those working without asking for a license?

I have Studio One 6.6.0.99237 (R2R)

Im going to install 6.6.4 RETAIL now without uninstalling the one mentioned above.

I finally solved the problem. If Studio One keeps asking for a license file, it's because Sphere Manager is placing the wrong computer ID in the registry. How to solve this:
1. Install Studio One.
2. Run the Install Magic command from Sphere Manager.
3. Open Studio One. If it asks for a license file, choose the Offline option and copy the computer ID.
4. Run regedit, go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\TEAM R2R\Sphere Manager and paste the correct computer ID into ComputerKey.
5. Run the Install Magic command again and then Subscription Renew.
6. Run Studio One. It should open normally.
