I think an auxiliary arrangement tool should have some important functions, such as providing truly usable creativity and ideas, but unfortunately, most tools do not have this feature because they do not seriously create these ideas.

R2R has released several LANDR products in the past already.

Besides that they have released lots and lots of quality software all the time for many years on end.

But if you only consider a software to be of quality when it is ilok-protected that seems a bit clueless if you ask me in terms of deciding which is good and which not or not so much.

I tried the plugin with Cubase 14 (Win10) and all work fine. Unfortunately the devs haven't implemented any MIDI output routing so you can't hear the tracks directly connected to your preferred plugins. You have to use internal sounds (that are very poor) and after drag and drop parts to the DAW tracks.

I think this plugin is combination of ORB and insta composer, produces nice and smart chords/melodies. unfortunately no option for save/load presets in the plugin, if you save and load preset in daw it crashes. The only way to store MIDIs is dragging midi clips to daw separately

Definitely seeing some bugs in this one, Win 10 machine, S1. Tried to increase the GUI size by dragging the lower right corner and though the icon for it is there, it wouldn't work. Also sound cut out for me several times. If I waited awhile it would come back on again on its own. Unless it's R2R's patching (doubtful), I'd say the developer still has some work to do on this.

My take, if you're looking for something along these lines Scaler 2 is probably a better choice. Just the same, glad I got to try it. Thanks to funtime and R2R!

Today we get AI who can composé in style we ask, and this software still do a basic chord progression with melody and other very generic. No style selection,.... So you will spend more time to adapt result to what you want. To get this it s a long time or, or rapid composer,... Do it.
now with AI I expected a soft I say I want a trap, or country,.... It give me all midi in this style and after I do small change select the instru I want,....

Interface is very neat and usable, congratulations to the dev for the usability!

As another member said

And also it would have been nice to be able to he hear the chords when clicking on variations/inversions/root notes ala Harmony Generator.

The captain plugins have implemented the functionality you want, but this plugin can only be used online, which makes me very unhappy.

I found a way that now can save, load and use the preset in DAW (mine is studio one) without any problem (if i save and load the preset without doing these steps the plugin crashes in studio one:
1) Save current session as a preset name for example "temp" in your DAW
2) Save presets you want as for example : A,B,... etc in your DAW.
3) whenevere i want for example work with preset A , first load preset A then without playing it load preset "temp" then without playing load preset A again.
4) Disable and enable the track in your DAW
5) Now preset A is ready to use without GUI problem or crash!
It takes me 10 seconds to load a preset with this method but for the current buggy plugin version with no option for save/load presets, it's the only way to use stored presets at least in my DAW (studio one).

Sounds like this thing is not ready for prime time == half baked from the dev itself.

One other thing - "AI-powered chord progressions" really?...

Not only does it not save/load the state but when you re-open a project
with the plugin in it, it will throw this error in FL Studio 24,

and if you close the plugin window and re-open it again it crashes completely.


There was an error setting the state of the VST3 plugin "LANDR Composer".
The component state wasn't restored.

Am I doing something wrong? Loads in demo mode. I did install as Administrator.

So far, it reminds me of Orbs Composer Suite. Waiting for the demo mode solution before I can decide which is better.

First time: Very similar to Orbs Suite. One thing it has over Orbs is all sections are in one VST/one one screen, instead of 4.

I'll update if I notice anything special
