This is how it works :

I understand you're encountering an issue with the Yamaha ESP Montage VSTi where attempting to save a library results in the content from the user area being saved instead. 1. Curate the User Area: Ensure that the User area contains only the Performances, Arpeggios, Motion Sequences, Waveforms, and other data you wish to include in the new library. Remove any unwanted items from the User area before proceeding.


2. Save as Library File:

Navigate to [UTILITY] > "Contents" > "Save/Store" within the ESP Montage VSTi interface.

Set the CONTENTS TYPE to LIBRARY file.

Save the data to your desired location.



3. Install the Library File:

After saving, you can load the newly created .Y2L file into the ESP Montage VSTi as a Library file.

This process will install the curated data as a read-only library within the VSTi.




Important Considerations:

Library Data is Read-Only: Once installed, Library data cannot be edited directly. To make changes, import the data back into the User area, edit as needed, and then save it again as a new Library file.

Backup Your data: Always create backups of your User and Library data before making significant changes. This practice ensures you can restore previous configurations if needed.
