is this just the vst synth? No presets? & i just tryed drag audio to use like a sampler but nothing happens!

The basic installation of Omnisphere already has approx. 60GB including all samples.
This is only the VST-Plugin itself.

Oh it's definitely the reply. There is nothing worse than ungrateful people. Groups like R2R work their nuts off to be in a position to provide us with everything we could ever need. Ali they ask for in return is a bit of common decency and respect.
EVEN if the software in question isn't wanted, I don't think that's too much to ask for!

LOL. 60GB is too much? I have 32TB of hard drives, 8TB of music software (mainly Kontakt libraries) - how can 60GB be too much? Talk about ingratitude. How did you not know the Omnisphere library was 60GB? Where have you been for the last ten years?

Omnisphere 2.8 Library Total Sounds: 14,806, Patches 9,223, Soundsources 5,439, Multis 144. Yes Omnisphere is huge.

What should I install for my first time having this synth ? I did find no installers in some previous releases (I've noticed the 60GB library on website already)

1.) install this following the R2R.txt
2.) download the ~60 GB Omnisphere Core Library from here and unpack to your C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\STEAM folder
3.) install Spectrasonics Omnisphere Soundsource Library Update v2.6.2c WIN MAC-R2R (this simply updates files from 2.) in your STEAM folder)
4.) install Spectrasonics Omnisphere Patch Library Update v2.8.3c WIN MAC-R2R (this simply updates even more files from 2.) in your STEAM folder)
5.) have fun!

I installed the whole thing and everything works great! Omnisphere, Keyscape and Trillian. They sound awesome! Thank you much R2R! In stanalone mode all works awesome as well. I have one question, what is the asterisk that pops up when I use it as a VST in my DAW, after the software version number? The asterisk does not show up in stanalone mode? Only in VST mode? Everything works and sounds great. How do I get rid of the asterisk?

You would only have to see it when you use .vst3.
It is to distinguish if you are using .dll or .vst3

do you know if its possible to install this to c: and the Steam Folder to d: ? Because i have not more Free Space on c: for the 60GB Steam Folder. Or maybe you have another Solution? Thanks

Place the big STEAM folder wherever you want, open cmd as Admin & make a hardlink this way (just an example);

mklink /J "C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\STEAM" "D:\MyLibraries\STEAM"

(There's a space between the 1º & 2º paths too)

Hit Enter.

As return u'll read "Union (or junction) created for..."

The first path will contain the hardlink.

U'r welcome. Took me sometime to realize the huge difference between hardlinks, symlinks & others, but worths a lot if we wanna maintain a very fresh (less indexing) system partition &/or system drive, not only as a better space administration. The idiosyncrasy of the different types of links means a lot for any kind of OS.

Unfortunately you have to install the full 60 GB otherwise Omnisphere won't work.

is there a way to install this with crossover and transfer the updated files to mac? since there is no 2.8.7c update for mac yet as far as i know
