Appreciate the release and the up, but damn—this is getting dumb.
I wish NI would stop smearing makeup on their stuff to "modernize" it and instead overhaul the actual plugin, or at least add QoL features that would speed up workflow, instead there seems to be a complete lack of concern that there's stagnation and even regression for the sake of shiny-ness. Or at very least stop rearranging the browser and instruments simply to try to create the illusion of it being "new." It's frustrating.
I have a hard time believing that anyone at NI uses their products in any real fashion.

Agreed, but I haven't been expecting them to come up with anything new or innovative, I just want a plugin that doesn't look or operate like something from 2010, and the answer to that isn't make a sleek new design that has very few improvements and a whole new set of logistical traps.
Most people I know in the (mad) real world who use Kontakt, had some intention of paying for it at some point, saving up money and what-not, but the general consensus now is that NI doesn't deserve a dime. Whatever they're doing with V7/V8, along with the barrage of sub-par libraries they've been churning out, doesn't make up for a decade of slept on and retired plugins.
I'd have more hope, but we all know the slippery slope that is private equity buyouts, and Fransisco Partners has a very clear goal to "... help the company accelerate its growth trajectory.”* No mention of quality in any of their releases over the past few years though, not that I've seen.

You could be right, either way, new ownership has most large audio companies—companies that have been bought-out and umbrella-ed underneath some people who have no real interest in the audio industry—cutting corners and going for a larger marketing budget and a smaller dev team.
Like I said, it's frustrating.

Its a shame none of my libraries are activated in v 8.0 R2R. I still have the latest v7 Bob Dule installed also. Afaik all the libraries work ok with that release. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, has any you guys any ideas please?

BTW: I'm on Win 11 Pro, and I just ran standalone at the moment.

Same issue with Bub and R2R. Many libaries show as missing, but will load if you manually add as user libraries. Not sure what is happening, but maybe a K8 bug
