The Warm and Lush Sound of a renowned American Tape Machine recreated via – NM2 Technology.

What does it do ?
With its cutting-edge technology, this plugin captures the essence of real tape, reproducing its softening of transients and pleasant-sounding saturation and compression.

We used a famous Vintage American 2 Track 1/4 inch Tape Machine with the SM9 Tape Formulation for modeling. We feature 2 unique Bias settings as well as fast (15ips) and slow (7.5 ips) tape speeds and also a unique 2-track mode. This mode recreates a true stereo 2-track image which brings in characteristics such as sonic differences between the 2 channels as well as crosstalk between the channels.

A witch says,

We have emulated 4 API of the server requeset / response in WININET.dll level.

Enjoy your eternal virtual online life :)

is it just me or is there some weird aliasing fx on some of this plugs?

I have never heard any of this developers plugs before.

I kind of read their "NM 2 Technology" marketing in my head as "we didn't hire or seek out any human software engineers who give a crap about this stuff to work on this" and so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if at some point of the AI's learning it was just learning aliasing and then purposefully started modeling that. You know, that whole "seven fingers and three thumbs on a hand" in AI art thing, it kind of applies across all AI shit to an extent.

I hope I'm absolutely wrong tho. Appreciate the offering from the team to test out. When I get to testing it I'll put on my rabbit ears and see if I hear the same thing you are, run a sine sweep through it and have a look at a spectrogram.

I suspect these are very good or else R2R would not get invovled.

not a critique at all but i think that sometimes they aim at the protection scheme that they find appealing more than the plugin per se...

of course, as it's a fun challenge for them. not necessarily the case here, but it certainly plays a role. I've been downloading all of these to try them out, are they really good, or are they "terribly coded"?

why don't you people give them a try instead of making all this pseudo philosophy out of assumptions and guesses? me thinks you're wasting 20 times more time on this than it would actually take to install them and see.

All of this guy's plugins have terribly coded oversampling algorithms and AA filters. There are many other strange and amateur-ish issues with many of the plugins as well. The biggest issue is definitely that he had all time constants in his plugins tied to the sample rate of the host, something that ofc means that the plugins behave differently depending on the sample rate you use (attack, release and modulation being the most glaring issues), and which also makes oversampling completely useless. I don't know if he has fixed this simple issue yet, but he hadn't when I last tried one of his plugins about a year or two ago.

I'm honestly really struggling to hear any difference in this demo video of the A and B comparisons. Anyone feel the same?
