Made In Rock PFL 100 is the plug-in based on the unique and finest emulation of the HIWATT* 100 DR103 head, and its matched cabinet, which belonged to the Pink Floyd*.
The TH-U PFL 100 model is renowned for its exceptional cleans and its wide dynamic range, making it the perfect pedal platform. This amplifier features two input channels, Normal and Brilliant, each with its own independent drive knob. The Linked input allows for mixing the two channels, offering infinite combinations of tones.

The TH-U B-SAB 100 head has two input channels. The Treble channel is brighter and more crunchy, with a lot of presence. The Bass channel has a massive amount of bass distortion and a more fuzzy tone. The matched cabinet is a 1970 4x12" Supergroup with Celestion* G12H speakers, which enhance the biting tone of the head.

Just this morning I received an email from Overloud about their new Made In Rock products; PFL 100 and BSAB 100 based on the Hiwatt DR103 Custom 100 and Laney Supergroup amps respectively. Thank you V.R. for your timely release!

Anybody can advise me how to get the ideal di input level into this? I put audient id14 hiZ gain on 0 and according to one school of thought i need to increase gain in the app/daw by 6db based on Ed S's yt page.

How are you guys doing it/what is the best way?

Is time for every amp-sim to come with a built in auto-input calibration, optional, at least.
  Resident 18.12.2020 19

Doesn't TH-U have an input calibration in the settings? I swear I remember palm muting and turning up the gain until the level was almost in the red 🤔

Yes, but it isn't automatic ... I mean, would be nice to plug & let the plugin adjust the interface level by itself just in order to test presets & quick mods. Wouldn't be an advantage in a record session in which, obviosuly, we usually need to be much more accurate.

there is a plugin that does that, I discovered Tonocracy yesterday, fantastic free app, booted it and it showed the value for the input automatically detected. All presets maintain the correct gain, be there a Clean, Crunch or High Gain, they respond accordingly.

I've seen Tonocracy everywhere but had no time to test, I'll do it.

According to Ed´s page you have to check the id14 manual and look at Instr. Inputs(1 or 2, etc) minimum gain: something like 0dBFs +14 dBu at de TRS input. ( this is my AXE I/O ´s value).. I found this to be the same as the Apogee and the MBox Studio, for that value T-HU needs to be an 8 db boost at the Plugin input (my case). Find your value, check the T-HUs correspondence and you are done.

How are you boosting by 8db? Th-u itself has no input level boost/cut function as far as i can see..

U'r right, seems that as standalone it can't be done as most of amp sims are capable to, test it as VST in a daw setting the recommended input level of the track.

this is probably not what you want to hear but the best setting is when it sounds good to you! haha
What you ask is just like asking whether to lower or raise your pickups or whether you play with enough distortion....the answer is just use your ears instead of your eyes!
Obviously you don't want the input signal either too high (clipping) or too low (signal/noise ratio), and that's easy to hear...but sticking to any other value as an unbreakable rule is just plain silly. It's only one element in a chain...so there's a range of settings that will end up giving you a similar result.
Both the eyes are one-sided. For the perfect balance, you need Shiva’s third eye :D

Obviously, the own perception must count as a real authority, but is also true that if my ears rule over all, I'll could end turning any amp sim into a loved Diezel, Matchless or Randall, just to mention some. When we try to achieve a high simulation to flow trhough, we should learn from the soft's creators which parameters could essentialy take us to the alleged results, specially if you're producing the music of a client.

Is the [email protected] file inside the installer safe?
The installation shows an image that I've never seen on V.R products.

Hi guys, what do you think about the New fluid irs?
Software is like sex,it's better when it's free!

Rig player in this used to one of my main go-to's
Most of the rest of it I find pretty 'meh' with better options out there, often for free

Now that NAM is a thing with a number of 'suites' including it, I don't see overloud being able to keep up with their current marketing model.

Rigs are essentially kemper on your desktop, as they use the same profiling methods afaik.

Don't get me wrong, kemper and this can still sound awesome, but they deviate from the source, adding in their own flavour and there's literally thousands of excellent NAM captures out there for free that result in way more engaging tones for me.

Maybe fluidIR's are some secret sauce, though I'm now bought into Two Notes Genome ecosystem with it's dynIR cabs and NAM, so the ship has sailed for me on TH-U.

Maybe I didnt try enough, couldnt click on Genome, Tonocracy Free ( they do Nam load as well) got my attention although I dont like it forces to be logged and it uses ilok manager, so, will probably just look elsewhere.

hmm.... a lot of presets don't work in my DAW (S1 6.6). It says the plugin created invalid data and it gets powered off. Sometimes you can power it on again with a few attemps but usually you have to change to a preset that works. Standalone no problem. Anyone else with his problem?
