who wants to use cubase 5 when there is already version 12 cracked and ready to use?

Actually make that Cubase 13==cracked and ready to use.... Yeah... Dunno. Vintage in hardware is one thing, but insisting on using old tired warez is something else altogether... I don't get the attraction really...

Because some people they don't like to change their work flow also their computers.

really.. the computer hardware that was present at the time of C5 is indeed archaic compared to now. I used C5 for a number of years and do not remember any advantages to the "workflow" that would make it trump the power of current hardware and DAW technology. to each is own I guess...

Careful, I once had a guy on here message me every day for 110 days because I questioned using a Windows 7 workflow and pointed out the obvious.

110 days of messages saying things like "show me how superior your Windows 10 music is or you're a fraud!"

By day 7 I just let him do it because it was interesting to see someone waste even more time messaging me every day on top of using a dinosaur of a computer. That's power and control.

I still use win 7 it works fine if i someday need to change to win 10 i bet it wont be any better other than some plugins and some programs will work that refuse to work on win 7 but it is not programs or plugin i MUST have to make music in fact they dont add anything that will make me a better musician or more importantly will make my music sound better.

Are you the guy who messaged creatureofthenight for 110 days?

Do you really belive music will sound better if you have the latest version of a DAW? and a brand new computer?
I have a friend that recently released an album using Cubase 5 and it sounds very good apperently he doesn't need the latest bla bla
But then again so many of todays s.c musician doesnt even record real instrument its all software based
But if you have a band and you mic up everything or do Di tracks you dont need a new computer as hey they did albums with Pro Tools in the 90,s how in the hell was that paossible as they didnt have what is available today?

He is just very young, and therefore still stupid. He works on a new mac operating system overloaded with agents who knock and report everything about him on their servers, even when he simply opens TextEdit to write something. And the agents devoured 50% of the performance of its fresh processor.

I doubt I've ever come across a more ignorant statement.

Indeed, Cubase 5 was legendary, this might also work with re-wire and re-birth...Yamaha have messed up a lot in more recent versions and still haven't fixed 10 year old bugs... For me Cubase SX 3 is my favourite, since then they have been largely re-skinning and adding plugins and crap.

Vintage digital plugins?
Would you mind to elaborate further on that? How would running these plugins on modern systems differ from running them from old digital hardware? CPUs don't matter as digital components of hardware synths do.

In fact, there was another 6th version for mac, a poorly cracked V.R, which never uploaded anywhere. Only for a narrow circle. And everyone complained about her buggy work, but for me it worked stably without glitches, probably because some system resources were disconnected, it was a Hakintosh server with two xeons. I wanted to figure out why everything was stable for me, and everyone had glitches, it was clearly in the hardware, but did not come to the end.

No joke, I've had a guy rabidly make several accounts to keep spamming my inbox to tell me how 32bit in 2023 was a necessity and how it still was supposedly better.

Funny thing is that the plugins he mentioned he used dropped 32bit in the meantime, lmao

I can’t imagine what my life would be like without Cubase 5

Can it be installed on its own? Is Air release a necessity?

Ok, for all you blokes wondering why oh why:
Sometimes a 32 bit daw can come in handy to open old projects or to work on new projects with plugins that don't work well when bridged.
I still have my Nuendo 4 version around, just in case. It's a good thing to have.

I thought I was the only one still using Nuendo 4.3.

I mainly use Nuendo 13, but with Dolby Atmos there's no other way. But I worked with Nuendo 4.3 from 2010 to 2022. So I have a lot of old projects that I still work on regularly. Now that I've found that I can open most of them safely with N13, I hardly use Nuendo 4.3 anymore. Only for projects where the import into N13 has not yet worked. But those are very few projects.

I have a deep love for Nuendo 4.3. If only because I have worked with it for so long. But I also appreciate the current Nuendo 13.
