This is not a written rule but when you see the "native" word usually means software-only equivalents of hardware.
Happens also with Korg synths.

Obviously this soft is made for hardware interaction too, but not exclusively. If you have the portable Helix you can transfer all between both devices, take control of the pc vst from the floor. Really comfortable to manage the Helix stomp settings for build presets through the pc.

No its a plugin not a standalone software it's the HX Edit that is standalone and it's just an editor so you can edit presests on your hardware on the computer.

And be sure to click on the little gear icon in the lower left corner and then click on the tab Hardware Compability and change the Current Hardware Compatibility Mode to NO as otherwise you can only use as many block as the Helix Floor can use which has some limits
with NO you can use as many blocks as your CPU can handle which is waaay more than the Helix hardware can

Same as every other version since 3.1.5 VR.
Doesn't work and I get the login screen. As soon as Helix loads it deletes PurchasesV2.dat and creates HelixLicenseInterlock.dat.
I denied write permissions to the file purchases file so it's no longer deleted, but still the same login screen.

I'm hoping they drop v4 already and there's a TeamCubeadooby or Team V.R crack.

I'm runing v3.6 (for now), zero problem, have you added the correspondant line in the hosts file? I've blocked every Line 6 executables through firewall too.

Yep. I've tried probably 50+ times with every possible thing that could be done slightly different (safe mode + no internet, uninstalling hardware, different install folders, install and/or run keygen with compatibility settings/admin etc.)

I just doesn't work. Lunacy Audio Cube is another automatic R2R keygen that doesn't work, and I think they're similarly encoded .dat license files.

Unlike for Helix, the Cube one at least shows some details. My guess is the Machine ID is wrong for some reason, but it's just a guess. I know some auth systems use things like MAC address, and with more than one network card a keygen might choose the wrong one. It's been ages, but I had an issue like that in the past but thankfully was able to solve as the KG allowed manual input.

Had I known how much time I would've wasted and that 3.1.5 would be the last release by another group I probably would've just bought it.

might be a registry entry in the helix path, i dunno but i had an instance when a crack didn't work ant it was due to a registry entry of a different version that was still there after uninstall and even a complete cleanup

Never had a problem with R2R's keygen i bet you have some files left after running VR? which often mad conflicts with true keygen releases so do an uninstall and clean everything including everything in the registry

Cleanup "%APPDATA%\Line 6\" if you need.
Old license (V1) file name : Purchase.dat
Current license (V2) file name : PurchaseV2.dat

1.Block the access to "line6.com".

You are not alone, my friend. I could never get R2R Helix to work for me either. Made me more invested in other guitar suites like Amphub and Tonex that are probably better suited to my tastes so I'm not too scuffed about it.

Works fine here. More than likely 1 or 2 things. You're connected to the internet and/or you had a previous version installed and didn't read the instructions. Drop the net connection permanently (or you'll continue to have problems) and completely remove the old/recent versions. THEN re-try the install...

Helix needs much more time, patience, knowledge and experience to achieve a great sound, but, believe me, is capable of astounding results. Today most of people isn't tryin' really hard to modelate in the way that Helix is designed to, but you'll find great examples in YouTube. Size doesn't always means better or worst, Amplitube is a massive compilation of data, including all that visual stuff..., Helix is basically just text with a very humble visual interface. Different products for different needs, capabilities and taste. If you try NAM adding your preferred irs & some pre and post effects u'll get super results, and the size of all that gear rarely exceeds 100mb.

No not really i can make a great preset in less than 2 minutes i NEVER use the factory presets oh and i also use IR's mostly York Audio's but sometimes Ownhammer even though the new cabs are much better than the old ones i still prefer IR's

...but u're an experimented user/musician, and surely very geek pal! Eg.; Otto Audio II II II II (if you are a very high gain fan), just load a couple of presets and go to record almost instantly. Or if you're a more classic one, choose the Tone King Imperial for terrifique cleans, instantly. Helix is capable of those great sounds too, but for someone that's starting in this universe will demmand much more than 2 minutes.

I can't seem to get helix or any guitar vsts to work live. I can add effects in post. but if i want to play live with it. There is this latency between my Yamaha MG10XU mixer/interface just a couple milliseconds but enough to through me all off with timing when playing live. I think i have tried everything I just cant seem to get rid of the latency. Im kinda new to vsts. at least setting them up. Anyone have a sure fire way of getting rid of the latency so I can use helix line 6 in a live setting? both laptops we use for production are very fast 32 gigs or more ram both i7s with solid state drives both are very fast machines. If i can get it working in a live setting i would by a midi foot controller for it. also does anyone know if i can control helix with a line6 m5 stomp box? last question im looking to get into IRs i found a cheap stand alone ir pedal on amazon but will helix load IRs?
