White 3 is an exciting plugin suite that embodies the best features of the esoteric hardware found in the renowned Italian studio, White Sound Mastering.

Hey, to save you putting this same comment on nearly every AA R2R release here, we ALL already know this. Maybe do some projects at 44.1 or 96 if you wish to use them. 48 and 88 will never be on these cracks because they are derived from the trial versions which do not include those vectors. Thanks.

You'll never know, in some "old new" products AA implemented their new tech "hybrid" or something which supports all sample rates (Gold 5 for instance has all supported sample rates) which is an old product, this is obviously a new upgraded version of "White" so it's important to check if this is also included in the new "hybrid tech" cathegory or not.

Work well even at 48khz without hardly any weird curves. Interesting for certain problems in buses and masters, such as harsh sounds in 5khz, poorly balanced bass or shortness of air.

Maybe that's what's important to you, but for others maybe not, for me (almost 60 years old) the most important thing is to work as I've done all my life, not seeing curves and dots that I drag with a mouse . . . Then there's the character, that slight distortion that is different if you turn up one volume than if you turn up another. . and first of all what I hear and the sensations it transmits to me . . . After so long I have tons of hardware and consoles, I want something that matches that . . . Or do you go to a wedding with triathlon sneakers because they are the most efficient for walking?

A LOT of Acustica plugins descriptions says: "emulation of RARE ITALIAN HARDWARE FROM 1950 or whatever year. I mean its so rare that nobody in youtube or any forum ever spoke about it. Anybody have any link to any threads or anything talking about it?

Since the EQ and pre-amp are handbuilt units made by a mastering engineer in Italy, I'm guessing that they don't exist in abundance out in the wild. So yes, very rare units. Doesn't mean they are the bees knees though, just that he hasn't built very many of them.

If there exist independent reviews out there the chance of finding them are slim, since any search results will be so diluted by reviews of the plugin version. I found a short interview (in Italian) with Tommy Bianchi about the PEQ 2.0, but unsurprisingly they were mostly talking about the plugin: Audiofader interview (Italian)

Just tried this one on an acoustic mix. It actually sounds pretty good. I think it might have something to do with being able to choose the different frequencies to boost and attenuate separately. The pres on it are subtle but they seem to add a bit of smoothness and warmth overall. I have a lot of Pultec plugins. I don’t use them a lot. This one I might actually use. Again, I have limited experience, so take this with a grain of salt.

This has very unique sound to it for a pultec style EQ. I Just compared this to a few Pultec EQ's and one the thing that stands out to me is i don't like what WHITE 3 is doing to the low end. So maybe try this on stuff where the you want a pultec but the low end isnt that important like acoustic stuff maybe.

But the most notable comparison for me was with the best pultec i have Tim P Dual Tech. Dual Tech has more low end presence and the high end sounds more smooth and "expensive" compared to WHITE 3. This one was not my cup of tea so im just waiting on PURPLE the only other alternative to Dual Tech probably.
