Snow is a suite of 4 plugins emulating modern British-style, high-end gear. The original sampled units were artfully designed by the most celebrated personality in the history of professional audio and represent the culmination of his extensive knowledge of analog circuits.

The plugin includes several world-class units, including one of the most expensive studio consoles currently on the market (entirely discrete, with custom-designed input and output transformers), which is also a favorite of one of the most famous electronic music producers in the world.

adapting it, the Snow plugin is texturally perfect.


What You Get
Snow EQ encapsulates that “console” flavor that separates the toys from the serious tools. It offers incredible transparency, embodying half a century of experience in high-end audio equipment design by one of the best electronic engineers who ever lived. And as if that weren’t enough, it offers additional unique features such as the Texture circuit, which can breathe life into even the dullest of recordings.

Snow Preamp: this juicy plugin comprises of 3 separate banks (line, mic, and custom), packing a total of 52 “British-style” preamplifiers.

Snow compressor is a dual-mono plugin equipped with two powerful dynamics processors that will fill your tracks with so much character that it’s practically illegal. It also includes a versatile Texture
circuit that allows you adjust the amount of drive pre-output

053 is derived from a British-style dynamic processor, input and output transformers, and almost entirely discrete component amplifiers.
CH2 is derived from a very famous compressor-limiter module with fully controllable feed-forward/feedback modes and a Peak/RMS detection combo. The manufacturing of this cool little machine has unfortunately been discontinued, which makes our plugin the only way to easily gain access to this unit’s unique sound.

Snow MB (Master Bus) is our take on a stereo dynamic processor derived from a revered modern hardware unit. Its manufacturer described it as being able to “enhance, reconstruct, and smooth out your sound to perfection.”

This remarkable unit is capable of adding the finishing touches to your master bus like nothing else. You’ll get compression, limiting, stereo field control, and precise harmonic content manipulation — all in a single plugin!

These (all) seem to crash for me, once the GUI tries to load.
I believe I did everything.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Use " " when you set the path on the start and the end of the command line !

"C:\Program Files\Acustica\Framework" and not C:\Program Files\Acustica\Framework

maybe this makes your gui crash

LMF problems not fixed. Some people reported that some of the vector files for that particular band is missing.

On the Snow Comp module the 043 Pre option seemed to really muffle the sound and theres also a drop in gain for some reason. The CH2 Pre option seem to working normally

I did a quick test @ 48kHz 2x OS for the SNOWCOMP & SNOWCOMPZL . The frequency response of PREAMP 043 + MODEL 043 (on & off) was more or less flat from INPUT TRIM minimum (-24db), cranked to maximum (+24db). No gain drop, not muffled. Are you sure it's not triggering the compressor ? Check the gain reduction meter on the right side. If still muffled with no compression happening, maybe it crashes internally. Remove and add back should reset it.

its definitely there on the last release whenever i engage the PREAMP 043 it sounds squashed/muffled and theres a drop in gain i just double checked on Reaper WIN 11 on 41kHz. and no the comp is off i see no gain reduction happening on the meter. Im downloading this FIXED Repack right now and i will update you if the issue is still there

Same problem for me on this version. Also The comp knob is on off but the ratio knob still effects the sound when i turn the knob very weird.

44.1kHz ? I can't confirm that. Okay, report this at this thread. Add screenshots of the settings if possible and all other details. There are people that work in 44.1kHz as well in there and maybe the can see if it's happening to them as well.

Only the first week or so after they're first released, i had a ton of acustica plugins, and not once did anyone of the knobs not work, cpu hogs yes.

CPU hogging is not really Acustica. It's your computer. When i work with AA stuff, i can run a TON of Acqua's and Nebulas on my Ryzen 2700 in 96 Khz sample rate. Reaper off course. You need to learn how to optimize Windows for real-time low latency process (Google search this line).

I have a pretty good computer, well the best cpu intell you could buy 4ish years ago. I Find trying to run a channel strip across every channel a problem at 44. At 96 I can't really use acustica at all

Yes reaper makes a huge difference, Im using studio one because i like everything about it better, except for the cpu

I particularly wanted to try Snow.

I had a lot of crashing issues with these AA releases until I removed the VST3s where applicable and went with the available VST2 versions. Apparently AA VST3s are mostly VST2 anyway.

try selecting the one of the freq on LMF. 3 of them not working. 3 vector files missing. 200Hz being one of them

Everything is working in SNOW equalizer, including LMF module. There is no missing SNOW_LMF# vectors. Those 'missing' files are never existed. It's just one corrupt byte in SNOWEQ.N2S file.

There are 14 SNOW_LMF#_$.N2V files in common folder, both for 44.1 and 96 kHz. All of them are used 35 times except one — LMF5 for both sample rates, there are only 34 calls for it. But there is one call for nonexistent LMF6 file instead. Clearly it is just error, there must be 35 calls for LMF5 and none for LMF6.

LMF module is working fine after replacing wrong value: Picture 1
To FIX open SNOWEQ.N2S file in any HEX editor, find first string and replace it with second: 
SNOW_LMF6_$RATEKHZ.N2P
SNOW_LMF5_$RATEKHZ.N2P
