From NI support:"Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6 is compatible with macOS 11 to macOS 13 and Windows 10 / 11. It's the last Komplete Kontrol version that supports VST2".
In practice, NI eliminates vst2 from version 3.0. mk1 keyboards will not be supported and owners are specifically told not to install version 3.0. I believe it will be the last update for the mk1 and also for the 2.9.x versions.

Yes, Version 3 does NOT work with Native Instruments Konplete mk1 keyboard (which is very nice Customer Service for their early customers. I would expect my MK1 Keyboard to do new tricks, but I would at least expect it to work the MK1 Keyboard wasn't cheap and I would expect the Native Instruments Keyboard to continue to work with Native Instruments software (if they cared about their customers).

My question is - Can Version 3 and Version 2 work side by side?

Like usual i don't know what happened a year or 2 ago but ever since , komplete and maschine don't work.Ive used revo to uninstall everything , went through regedit , and searched mixed with a manual search and erased everything.I have no issues of dirty files when running kg it says successful when i run it i turn my antivirus completely off before even installing i don't know what happened and at this point how to fix it.

tips : run the standalone version 1st, before the VST. It will take 20-30minutes depending on your library collections size. It's rescanning, retagging stuff. Once the standalone up and running, the DAW wont stuck at initial new plugin scanning VST for a long time on it.

I've tried that with all the newest plugins all go to demo I've literately been deleting , installing and searching all day .Does Native access need to be installed do you need a free account for it?Ive tried with access i tried signing in and only tried that after doing it without native access installed.

You don't need native access app. None of these R2R releases need them. Just update to the latest NativeAccess.xml that is included. I dont really know what to do with NI plugins problems. It's quite tricky. Other than making sure the VST folders clean without duplicates, the registry entry pointing to the right location, and unlock RAS folders, dunno what else. Seems like you've done all that but still cant make them work.

I used to have one very long time ago tried everything but failed, until one day my SSD died and I was forced to reinstall windows.

yea ive done that also even deleted the old one instead of just copying and replacing it still nothing.Only ni stuff i can get to work is stuff without a kg my system isnt dirty all kg run and say successful i can usually figure it out unless its a team issue but my maschine studio has been a paper weight for like a year.I spent maybe 4 or 5 hours using revo uninstalling everything except bobdule kontakt and reaktor since it didn't need a kg then i searched multiple words deleted everything.Then went and manually checked every folder i have, my folders unhidden so i checked program data ,app data etc.

Did you try re-add with Kontakt_Button.exe or R2R KONTAKT Manager?

Did you try reinstalling the OS? Maybe some file is corrupted.

i just ended up going to vr releases.i dont have any issues with any other r2r releases its just ni stuff for some reason i installed the vr stuff and its working ,the maschine release is super old though but its better then nothing
