Ozone basically added Gulfoss, SplitEQ, and DynOne Lite to the suite. Hard to beat Ozone as a complete mastering suite now.

In what way is it not close? Genuinely curious. I haven't tested Ozone 11 yet. But you can separate transient and sustain information in EQ, which is what SplitEQ does too

I would say it is even more advanced (don't know if better, not tested either) than SplitEQ.
With the new Stem feature you can go into much more detail when splitting transients and sustain than without the feature, like the traditional SplitEQ.
In my opinion, SplitEQ must now follow suit, with a similar update. Slowly everyone is jumping on this Stem bandwagon ... Serato Sample 2.0, now Izotope.

Split EQ is more of a transient and tone eq
Since Ozone is transient and sustain so it's gonna be more of a multiband transient designer than Split EQ, like the one from Boz Digital Labs (but i forget the name of the plugins)



Edit : what i mean is not multiband transient designer like in Neutron. But kinda of a transient designer eq like Transgressor of Boz Digital Labs

"Tone" and "Sustain" are the same thing in this context. Eventide just called the sustain information the tonal information. But it's the same function

This has nothing to do with AI it's simply audio processing. Copied concepts from other manufacturers. AI will sure do it's wonders in music production but man people throw AI around like every software would be AI these days.

Could not agree more. Maths and logic is not AI indeed. A true AI plugin would evolve based on its usage and everybody would have a unique plugin which is quite exciting but not what marketers are lying about.

The Clarity module is stupidly good I wont ever use EQ for high end clarity ever again. The Brown-Pink-White noise tilt is handy too. They really thought this through.

No, that is not necessary. You can use all versions simultaneously. I still have all versions since Ozone 4 installed on my computer.
