You can do it in Reaper, Acoustica, RX, and most other DAWs and audio editors.

In Acoustica you shouldn't have to render the file either, it's an editor so you just have to save the changes you've made to the file. It's not the playback speed you need to change, you need to time-stretch the file. Read page 41, paragraph/subsection 5.2.9, of the Acoustica manual

Wow! It was one of the first pieces of software I used in my life, back in the days of old CDs, we didn't even need to have an mp3 on PC, we just had to put the CD on the CD-Rom to time strecht in real time.

Decades later came other 'TIMESTRECH' apps.

This 'RONI Music' is one of those poor developers that we should invest in buying his software, because he contributed to thousands of musicians, at a time when there was only Sonar, Audiogalaxy, Emule to download files, not even Napster at that time, while the first software for musicians were poorly made samples or some poor synthesis, the best were from Steinberg, and Kontakt had not even been generated.

Seventhstring's TRANSCRIBE! is way way better. And cheaper too. This developer is just too greedy.
