Isn't it crazy how some of the best plugins around are only a few megabytes in size? And then there is Acoustica Audio

Acoustica Audio's marketing strategy is focused on visual appeal. As a result, a music production and studio computer business like theirs doesn't face any hard drive capacity issues. Nowadays, hard drives come in sizes as large as 12TB. If this were in the past, the issue of storage space might have been a variable for discussion.

Acoustica Audio is actually engaged in a risky business because the more complex and feature-rich the interface of their plugin is, the more likely it is to encounter issues and potentially cause performance issues.

In summary, Acoustica Audio puts in the effort, pays those who put in the effort, and produces. The end user will choose to buy it if it suits their needs, and if not, they won't. When thinking in terms of competition, every plugin manufacturer is a flower in the garden of plugins.

My comment wasn't meant too seriously. I actually like the innovative approach of Acoustica Audio (sampling devices as opposed to algorithmically modelling them)!

I just don't have neither the hard drive / SSD capacity, nor the CPU to run their products on my machines and having tried them here and there, I didn't find too much of a benefit in sound over my less demanding algo plugins.

And I find it amazing that the whole Fabfilter pack (at least the R2R version) is beyond 20 mb (if I recall correctly) and this Newfangled Audio bundle below 12 mb.

Very efficient and economical if you ask me!
