I suggest using symbolic links. Google "how to create symlinks".

i always install it in a Virtual Machine, and then copy / paste the things i want back on my "real" pc.
And from there, you can also do an "customized" .exe from that, for private use of course

Sure, you can delete what you don't need
Their stored in the hidden folder C:\ProgramData\Arturia
Every Plugin in its own folder, gives up to 19 GB space back, depending on what you using

yeah but before i need to install all the gazllion files only to delete half of it again.

last release installed 40mins on samsung 980Pro SSD. (deleting of everything took 2-3mins.)

hmm option for selecting each plugin would help a lot, but install script maybe stupidly complicated.

I went through a phase using 'Symbolic Links\ junction Links to save space on the system drive. But I came across a problem. One day I noticed the system drive had totally filled up. For some crazy reason, Windows was still deducting from the system drive and the external drive I used as the new destination for all my libraries 😣. I never did get around to understanding why this happened. Just be careful when using Symlinks, remember to keep an eye on your system drive.

I've had that once with Arturia, but it turns out it was my own mess. After clearing everything and doing it from scratch, never had that again. Symlinks are 100% safe as long as you're paying attention, or else it'll bite you in the ass.

Any info on what the updates are? I don't see any new instruments added from previous R2R Arturia V Collection, but this is now it's 4 gb bigger.

i haven't finished downloading, but i'd guess augmented brass (and augmented grand piano) was added.

After inspecting, I think only Augmented Brass was added since last R2R release. There was a separate release for Augmented Brass weighting 2.5 gb.

I was wondering too. Does R2R have a similar release of the 'soundbanks' or can you only get those from the VR release? Can you install the VR soundbanks with this R2R collection too and get the presets working?

I've found that it is simply unproductive for me to install every update. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful that these releases are so generously provided - but the amount of effort/time it takes to keep everything current is simply not feasible. At least not for me. Besides - do I need all the new stuff? My option paralysis is bad enough as it is.

What should I do if I only want one or two synths?

Install everything and then delete what u dont need. But like i wrote previous release took 40 min to install on a pro ssd for me.

(I found it half productive to install so many plugins, less productive ... Most likely pass on it. V8 i did delete recently as i didnt use it once in 3 months)

new plugins and some updates i guess.

and Arturia likes to make hardcoded skins for atleast 5 sizes. means every skin file for the 5 sizes per plugin. that is huge.
