Sample import
With Padshop Pro, sound designers and creatives can use their own samples and recordings to fuel Padshop’s granular synthesis engine. Record new sounds in Cubase and drag-and-drop the file directly to Padshop Pro to create your individual sound presets. Own samples can also be imported from the MediaBay or via the convenient import browser into Padshop Pro. WAV and AIF formats with a length of up to ten minutes are supported.

With two additional effects, Padshop Pro covers all you need to create your own spectacular granular synthesis presets.

The VR.nfo instructions are for Steinberg Dorico Pro v5.0.0 (Win64)
I wasn't able to get it working. Hopefully it's just a matter of having a revised install procedure and not a conflict with R2R stuff.

It is working for me. Do it step by step like other VR products and it should be OK. 4 steps and Let's Create the Music!
But you are right the nfo is saying about Dorico and Halion Sonic.

does v1.2.0 work with R2Rs SILK 1.20 REPACK? not really want to use VR unlocker.

couldnt get this version to work but R2R 2.1 works for me.
there are problems for some people with the library manager
it took me few hours but I found a way to install extensions on another drive without using the library manager.

I had issues with the Lib manager, when I double click on a package the lib manager wont open. it can only be opened when I run it as admin but no way to instal libs with it.
I use windows but this should work on mac too.

1. download from here the R2R padshop content and place the content folder in %programdata%\steinberg. if there is no steinberg folder then create it.

you should see now the factory presets in padshop plugin

2. to install another extension, download it and there should be 2 files.
one is the presets file like this - Black_Orb_Presets.vstsound
and the other file - Black_Orb.vstsound

3. put the preset file - Black_Orb_Presets.vstsound in:
%programdata%\steinberg\Content\VST Sound

4. put the 2nd file - Black_Orb.vstsound in:
%programdata%\steinberg\Content\Padshop\VST Sound

you should now see the extension in padshop plugin

5. moving the extensions to another drive - 2 methods

1. open Lib manager as admin it will recognize the extensions you put in drive C
then you can use it to move the extension to another drive

2. if Lib manager doesnt work - move the 2 files to another drive, then create a shortcut
to the files in the right location on C drive for example:

Black_Orb_Presets.vstsound is now in drive D, create a shortcut to it in
%programdata%\steinberg\Content\VST Sound
and rename the shortcut to Black_Orb_Presets.vstsound
The shortcut and the real file have to be with the same name exactly

do the same for the 2nd file and put the shortcut in
%programdata%\steinberg\Content\Padshop\VST Sound and rename it also.

to see the new extension (in ableton) you have to close ableton and re open.
it's not enough to re launch the plugin

It never displayed other libs than those 3 old ones which came with an exe installer so there has to be another thing those installers do, that's missing here

What do you want with 1.2.0 ? You mean the Padshop?
I use R2R Cubase with certificate and silk emu and tried installing this one alongside and even used the unlocker because it was not working at the beginning, now everything works fine!

did you use the R2R library content? the libs doesnt have exe installer its just a rar with the content folder inside

Yes, I tried copying that pretty much everywhere and when that did not work I tried it with the SLM but had no luck. In other words, when installing R2R Padshop, I can't use any presets except those from the exe installers from older expansions. And those show up immediately, which means the installers are doing some magic that noone got beyond yet, and R2R likely have not encountered that case while testing, otherwise they probably would have mentioned it in their V.R. removal explanation nfo.

Did you ever install V.R. -> Steinberg workarounds on your system?
Could very well be the reason why it does not work for me, because I installed and (thought I) removed (them afterwards) a lot...

I tried the VR before R2R with no luck.
just to double check myself, I downloaded a 3rd party expantion from here:

and just copied the files without even open Lib manager and it worked for me. I guess the R2R content had some modification to it.
