It's a bit annoying to completely uninstall, clean dirs etc. for every Waves release, and I assume it's not super important if you just did that for the last one so I'm going to chance it and install over top.

Will report back if I notice any problems.

You are absolutely right. Uninstalling everything and cleaning the drirectories is just a waste of time...
...until the next installation suddenly doesn't work anymore. And then you don't have to try to install Waves on the system anymore, it won't work never again on that machine...
At least it was that way on my machine. Needed to do a full install of Win10.
It's always better to follow the instructions step by step.

Wow, that sounds like a PITA. I'll do fresh installs for significant updates, but if it's just "BerserkJerkOneKnobMod added" etc. I think it should be fine.

TwoHeart's story is absolute bullshit. You can just install it like you said. And if anything goes wrong you can revert it unless you are completely incompetent.
I just have 1 pair of shoes but I have 11 analog synths.

I never had that problem just uninstall and clean EVERYTHING saying Waves both on your systemdrive aka C: you must be able to see hidden files so it search for every folder.
AND do the same in the registry.
And i NEVER uninstall anything unless i must beacuse installing over previous version didnt work.
And i have done that many many years
And the times i must uninstall is very rare.
Another thing is i almost never install VR and R2R releses of the same plugins especially not Waves.

I`m not sure but I think r2r has not studioverse cause there is no waves central in their release. Studioverse requires login as I remember. But im not sure if its true.

Just Scan before installing this (I was updating from V13) or, in my case, I used the plugin manager to "Remove plugin settings", then restart and voila!!! up and running

For all the negative people who doesn't want to update because sometimes Waves adds useless plugins (in my case everything related to spatial, atmos, 5.1 blablabla, stuff I NEVER use)... Try the MAGMA BB TUBES... I think the best addition from waves this last year...

Is there a way to remove this voltage amps plugins atleast for the next important releases, they look like they add GBs in size and i wouldn't use them at all?

would someone be willing to offer any tips..i had the previous R2R version running fine on a windows 11 pro (1555) with reaper latest version setup,
in the interim i'd updated win 11 to 1635 - i don't know if this had any bearing on things - and when i installed this after thoroughly cleaning out the previos installation, it scanned about 190 of the 600+ plugins and then reaper opened, as if it didn't take any notice of the additional 410+ plugins in the waveshell...
i cleaned it up, shut the waveslocalserver with the cmd file provided and then restarted waveslocalserver an dplugin server manually..this produced the same result...i uninstalled and cleaned out any remnants and re-installed the previous version and i got the same result, only 190 of the 600 plugins showing up..i cleared cache and rescanned still no luck. the VR version works (all plugins scan) but i'd rather use this R2R version?
