Really hoping this one works.
Been stuck on 3.1.5 VR as none of the R2R versions activate correctly.

*EDIT*
Nope. Same "Helix Native is unable to reach the Lin6 servers..." with a login form screen. If I bypass the Line6 hosts entry and create a Line6 account I can login and get a 15 day trial, but restoring the hosts entry and running the keygen again doesn't help.

I've followed the directions many times, and have installed audiowarez thousands of times so it's nothing new. The only other Line 6 product I have installed is an old cracked version of POD Farm, but I tried uninstalling it for Helix to work in the past.

I had a similar issue with IK stuff not activating with R2R, but was able to use the official IK Authorization Manager so it's possible the keygens are reading some incorrect value (MAC address etc)?

Anyway, if anyone's solved this issue, I'm open to suggestions...

I haven't had this problem, but I did have a problem with R2R's "Native Instruments" stuff. I spent hours, tried everything, and I am not computer illiterate in the slightest. A long time ago I had the same problem and just gave up. Well I ended up getting it to work by starting the computer in safe mode, and running the installer with admin privileges.

This probably won't help you and I know you're having a different problem, but I thought I'd share it just in case, because I know how insanely frustrating it all is and how insane you start to feel. Good luck man I hope you find someone to help or figure it out.

It was worth a shot. I ran the installer/keygen as admin from safe mode, but still no dice. Oh well. Maybe VR will release an update some day.

It's possible that something is missed in the installation clean-up instructions.
(same issue with Metallurgy btw)

Excuse me if I've misunderstood, but these R2R Helix Natives always block the Line 6 web site. In the past, I've unblocked it and put a firewall on my DAW instead. I don't think they want it to call home.

I haven't had time to test this release yet (and unfortunately that won't change for weeks to come), but I can tell you that I've had the same thing happen with past Line6 releases by R2R and only R2R. One notable piece of information is that I did this on a clean test PC which, in particular, did not have any previous Line6 installations whatsoever, not from R2R, nor from any other group, and I was still getting the exact same error message you're mentioning. However, the same R2R release was working fine on another test PC of different hardware. So, just like you, I have the strong suspicion that something about R2R's way of determining system parameters is not quite right. The MAC address is a good example: On systems with just one ethernet interface, there is no ambiguity when determining the MAC address, but with more than one ethernet interface you need a reliable way to determine which one to pick. Having said that, I doubt that the MAC address is the actual culprit as the test PC I mentioned above only had a single ethernet interface. I think it also had a single HDD only. Anyway, I really hope R2R will figure it out one day as I love their releases and I'm very grateful to them!

Thanks for letting me know it's also happened on a clean install.
The MAC thing was just a guess as I have 2 ethernet adapters (+ virtual) and certain keygens have used the wrong one in the past, but it was possible to workaround since the KG accepted user input. It may not be MAC in this case, but something similar.

I appreciate why R2R likes to KG whenever possibly and not modify plugins, but often find old school patching/cracking can be easier/more reliable when done properly.

Dunno if its me, but Ive tried several versions of this software, all of them installed with no problems, but the actual software sounds bad, very weak, and very samey, compared to TH-U which to my ears sounds far superior. I cant seem to build a decent rig on the Helix, but TH-U is a different story. Everyone seems to rave about the helix system, but I find it substandard, is it a case of the "emperors new clothes"

Don't enjoy it either: sounds too dull and scratchy, needs too much tweaking and eq to get smth enjoyable, at least for my taste (but I am not into metal - alternative rock and vintage fuzzy tones is what I like).
Edit: gave it another try: using external irs makes a big difference (the built in cabinets are really dull and lifeless. The factory presets suck even as starting points. Yes, I really believe you can get good tones out of it, but you have to tweak, tweak, tweak and tweak.. no fun).

Hell i sold my hardware helix cuz of the complete lack of good sounds,

Im going to try the keygen with mac cuz r2r’s true keygens often work for everything, not always tho

Line 6 has been in the digital emulation game (mostly hardware) longer than almost anyone and is a well-established name in the guitar world. While the quality of the amp sims has been spotty, Helix is a big step up, and if you've been to many live shows in the last 25 years, the DL-4 is one of the most common pedals in live rigs whether it's some crappy bar band, or a major act in a stadium tour.

I'm not a tone snob, but I really like the sounds I can get from Helix, and having nearly all of the algos from their pedals included is a major plus as I can finally record clean and get my DL-4 sounds ITB.

It's also relatively CPU efficient since the DSP was originally coded to run on far more limited hardware.

Just my 2 cents.

Why don't i see any app icon? it looks installed and patched and everything but i don't find the app to launcher anywhere. Please help
