I produce techno and used to record some indie rock and absolutely love this DAW. Never really fully used it for a project, but from the experimenting I did with it, it definitely has a more 'alive' sound than any other DAW I've used. I may begin to re-explore it and try to use it more, maybe to master exported stems from other DAWs perhaps. Thanks for the share R2R and DECiBELLE!

Just install it to see what's the new version is all about, it looks like it doesn't like a lot of plugins. A lot of error (around 160 plugins return with error) while scanning, a lot of plugin not available, even Waves whole bundle. Every single one of the plugins works in all other DAW. What the hell.

I noticed that some newer plugins that the VST3 file is located inside a *.VST3 folder (not sure why but even Analog Obsession newer plugins is like that) are all failed to detect. Another one is the dev that use dll wrapper for the plugin bundle like Waves, Black Rooster Audio all failed in the scan.

It's not like I need another DAW, just want to see what it is about, seems like more problem than solution, strange because it already hit version 9!

Hey man,

Do you know what is really weird about this one? I have two laptop rigs. Both are the same pretty much apart from the graphics card.

One rig the Waves bundles scan ok but when you open them they all freeze with no audio.
On the other one, all of my plugins work absolutely fine. This includes Waves, Black Rooster, Plugin Alliance, and Analog Obsession. The only ones that gave an error were the Softube R2R plugins from a few years ago.
Very strange.

To be honest, it's a shame this doesn't work for you because judging by your interaction on this site, I think it would definitely be your thing. It's actually a dream to mix with, and I don't say that lightly.

Harrison should stop selling this DAW until they figure out how to make it function in Windows OS properly.

Still showing error scanning valid VST/VST3 plugins.
DSP spiking is ridiculous.
Crashing just trying to make setting or left clicking on tracks.

Skipped version 8 waiting for new features to be refined.

Thanks @Stevie Dude, @quadcore64 for the valuable input to others. Cannot believe this is one of the most expensive DAW's on the market with so much problems. Pretty looks certainly aren't everything.

what if it has to do with the releases that are installed on your system, say some of the plugins are from VR and work with other Daw's but since this is a R2R release that may as you might have read on other R2R releases that the plugin's can only work if your using R2R versions of the other Daw's. I might not of explained it correctly or my wording might throw you off. as an example = A witch says,
Contents can be installed to only R2R PreSonus release.
Another problem i have noticed is that many users keep bouncing back and forth between VR and R2R Releases and are not taking the required steps to fully uninstall the VR versions or these Releases correctly, Even if they removed all registry code allot of the VR installs leave behind locked files and that is when R2R installs say that it cant install because a dirty LIC on some of the programs.
Now another thing is the issue with VR wanting you to switch the wintrust.dll
for they Modified version.... But @ the same time when uninstalling forgetting to remove said wintrust.dll and replace it with the original.. R2R might need the original update wintrust.dll to function correctly in the first place and that may be also why some might be having problems with R2R release not working because they are not understanding the bottom line. I only use R2R releases because they do not modify the windows structure with untrust worthy files, they modify release .exe or emulators + cert, And also explain with revisions what they did wrong and own it while others groups just don't care to explain or even communicate.

1. Analog Obsession is kinda free plugin. Not k'd. Mixbus didnt detect any, all failed.

2. I understand that combining releases might cause problems but I think I've been here long enough to know which group release I'd like to use and merging groups release for a dev brand. So far everything works great, I have most of the group releases plus older group like AiR, H2O etc still working fine and been working since their release.

3. "Contents can be installed to only R2R PreSonus release."
- releases that been labeled like that are mostly the expansion or add-on. None of the R2R DAW release prohibited the user from using either legit, k'd by other group VST and VST3. Only for Reason Rack which can still be considered as Extension, same goes to Pre-Sonus Add-ons and extensions. All DAW can accept VST/VST3 plugin doesn't care who k'd or legit except for this very DAW, the Mixbus.

4. I think, for Harrison mixbus, it has nothing to do with the crack or other group release or merging releases. It's basically the Harrison Mixbus DAW itself that has its own method of scanning the plugin.

5. I always make sure every VST plugin I installed works on all DAW including (Machine/Komplete) that I use and so far everything works on every DAW, no blacklist in any DAW. How can it work in almost 7 other DAW but only failed in Mixbus.

Hi Stevie Dude,
I was just pointing out a flaw with using mixed releases! I know you know your stuff since i read every post comments on the stuff that i am interested in. The rest of my message was to noobs that always complain that something is not working when they really don't understand how VR does things on installation and when you want to uninstall the program may not revert the locked files and leave them there after installation..Only to cause incompatibility with R2R rel.
Some installations of VR don't even come with the ability to uninstall..
Any who i just want to reiterate that the response's other info was not directed to you. I just wanted to add my input on the situation. Also i should of split the message to indicate who i was speaking to in regards to the complete segment. My apologies on the matter.. I just have a different perspective since i am a Systems Engineer! And worked on incompatibility structure in a environment.

I give this upload 10 out of 10. By the way, I haven't experienced any problems, as some users in this thread have. (I'm on a Ryzen 9 PC )
Everything just works! I did have to rescan my UAD plugins.
The best part about this upload is that it comes with all the Harrison plugins.

I only advise getting a 2K or 4K screen for better graphics.
