well i allready asked in the previous post that wasnt installing anything about the differnces between R2R and V.R stuff regarding Sterinberg...a few days ago i installed Halion 7 with V.R Unlocker b4...worked fine so far didnt had any issues regarding the WinTrust.dll stuff...

Should i now install this TEAM R2R Steinberg Silk Emulator v1.2.0 REPACK-R2R anyway just to make shure its better oder is it to late now because my WinTrust.dll file is allready altered by the V.R Unlocker b4 ?

Its not about the Speed for me Halion opens instaintly
its just for Safety/Security reasons..
Last time i un installed all my VR stuff just for this Silk Emulator becuase of all the comments...

if there is not really any differnce i wont do this

tbh i never had any issues no matter if V.R or R2R never had the feeling that one was better than the other or faster...

IMPORTANT EDIT :
But with unlocker b4,b5 TEAM VR installs bunch of INVALID and FAKE certificates without noticing any user he is doing that... I just hate that!
You can check the certificates after they being installed that they are not properly signed and not valid, while TEAM R2R has properly signed certificates with unlimited time of validity (until 2099)!

Does it work?
Yes it is working!
Is it better than TEAM R2R?
No.
Why?
Because of its filesize, because of its simplicity, overall software speed and performance, and most important , not much fiddling around the system files in general, more safe to use TEAM R2R than VR.

Is it any good (TEAM VR)?

In b4,b5 releases well yes, before that was total mess, but if TEAM VR coder know what is he doing and change the install script to decent one it would be nice deed to his fans not to bloat and ruin their OS.

I have just learned he is loading some password protected ZIP file during installation which is not needed to have it at all.
No use from that file but still exists. Why is he doing that?!


One important thing about VR installation is that certificate and activation manager signing tools, and activation manager files.
So he needs just to update installation method and he will be good.
No need to lock and obfuscate his installers, because there is always workaround to decrypt them and that makes me less trustworthy with TEAM VR.

TEAM R2R is not lying at all, with latest b5 Unlocker, TEAM VR started to delete and clean his own mess, all previously installed wintrust.dll files from host systems, but the "registry damage" has to be done manually.

At least show little respect for TEAM R2R because of 11k+ releases so far, all of them exceptional quality, so calling them liars without adequate arguments, just proves that you nothing more than an ignorant person.

hmhmh allright then...what would you recommend in case some ppl allready installed b4/b5...like me just a few days ago...format my PC ? or is it enough to follow the R2R nfo....

During the period of time releasing VR Unlocker b3, b4, b5 , you had the whole time working TEAM R2R emulator.
Why did you not used that instead?

There is no more activator just for one software at time like with eLicenser, but one activator for all software. So there was no actual need for you install b4 unlocker or any other unlocker in the first place, while there was alive TEAM R2R emulator v1.1.1 which is still working for all software, even this day.

This release is practically unnecessary for sake of working software, but it has addition to detect dirty systems with VR like they have stated in their info very clear so that can keep you safe from some random errors.

I don't care who is doing this or that. If it works it ok for me. Both V.R and R2R are untrustworthy. But thanks for both of their hard work for bringing us these plugins for ''trying''

Why do you say that R2R is untrustworthy? I know of releases (and more than one) that work better than the original ones (here is a legal Cubase user and I moved to Cubase from R2R because it consumes less RAM). What is your point to distrust?

No, TEAM R2R Steinberg Silk Emulator v1.2.0 REPACK-R2R doesn't work with Steinberg.Cubase.Pro.12.v12.0.52.WiN-R2R. Must reinstall TEAM R2R Steinberg Silk Emulator v1.1.1.

Absolute untrue. I am using Official Cubase Pro 12.0.52 with Team R2R SilkEmu v.1.1.1 from the day of it's release.
There is no need to reinstall nothing if you know how to use it.
But you have to read.

Yes , same here (alongside a legit CB11 ) . Only VST Live( latest official update) has to be run as admin on my PC or it will stop because of missing licenses or similar . After the first run as admin it starts normally .But I did not try 1.2.0 , yet...

question. Will this allow me to dl and run ABSOLUTE 6 from the Steinberg DL assistant? Or do I need to use the VR for that one?
