Since the release of VOCALOID5 in 2018, Yamaha has been working on a new artificial vocal synthesis engine VOCALOID:AI.
On October 13, 2022, Yamaha officially released the synthesis program under the product name VOCALOID6. The new VOCALOID6 includes artificial intelligence-based voice synthesis library support and compatibility with existing databases.

This is the update version of 6.0.1.As is known to all, YAMAHA VOCALOID upgrades are always doing something meaningless.
But this times,they update a new function that AI voice banks could sing songs for Chinese and other languages:Cross the language type,use a japanese vb to sing a CHN or ESP or KOR（before this update,only JPN and ENG be supportedοΌ‰
And,Rewired Plugin had been tested.It works ok.

VOCALOID6 had 5 ai banks now. We uploaded them too(somebody ask me for it).
They don't need to crack, setup the 6.0 version first, and then installing the 6.1 upgrade pack.

I'm not sure about this version, but in the previous version I was able to load the VST3

here's the step that I use, it is from a Chinese site using google translate

Step 1: Right-click the start menu and run "Windows Terminal" as an administrator. (Windows 7 or previous systems have different paths, in short, enter cmd as an administrator.)

Step 2: cd "C:\Program Files\VOCALOID6SE\Editor" (the path in the underscore depends on where you installed it)

Step 3: regsvr32 VOCALOID6Plugin.comhost.dll

No, the Vocaloid bridge doesn't work, it shows "Not loaded as ARAplugin"
but the VOCALOID VSTi does work after you apply the above method

I am on Win10 (22H2) and needed to do the step mentioned by Avianator to register the DLL.

(note : check to ensure proper directory)
1) Open admin command prompt
2) Enter: cd C:\Program Files\VOCALOID6SE\Editor
3) Enter: regsvr32 VOCALOID6Plugin.comhost.dll

The program path should be "C:\Program Files\VOCALOID6\Editor", not "C:\Program Files\VOCALOID6SE\Editor". Then VST3 works.

And how are we supposed to change the program path?
Do you mean we should alter the default install path of:
"C:\Program Files\VOCALOID6SE\Editor"
and instead install to:
"C:\Program Files\VOCALOID6\Editor" ?

To test that, I renamed the folder to "Vocaloid 6" and it did not work.
Is there some other place that the path should be changed?

Either way that seems to have nothing to do with :
"Vocaloid module initialization failed".
To fix "Vocaloid module initialization failed"
(note : check to ensure proper directory)

No need to "regsvr32". When installing the program, it should be "C:\Program Files\VOCALOID6". "SE" should be deleted. Try changing the address in Program Files.
This address may also need to be changed in Regedit. "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VOCALOID6\Application\Components\BCSPB2X3L62LZCD4".
But don't unknowingly make changes to regedit.

Standalone works, VST does not work for me following all instructions. Bridge won't load as an Event FX... and the Vocaloid itself, of course won't load as event fx becuase it's an instrument, not an FX. VST itself, as an instrument gets a 'module initialization failed' error. Bridge just won't let itself be alt-dragged to any type of an event inside Studio One 6.

Vocaloid 5 didn't have Bridge, but the VST instrument itself used to open without issues.

Vocaloid 6 AI isn't ready for its close up yet. You can't apply vocal flourishes (attack & release) to the AI voices like you can with the regular Vocaloid voices. Too bad because that's what adds the humanistic qualities and additional realness to the voices.

The advantage with Vocaloid AI voices is they barely take up space on your hard drive - about 20 mb vs 1.5 to 2 gb to each Vocaloid voice.

Also, ARA integration works, but there are additional hoops to jump through vs the simplicity of Melodyne.

Maybe Vocaloid 7 will fix all these issues.

Dont't Work in Cubase 12 Pro (WIN 11)

Im using Cubase 12 pro on win 10, and it works just fine. I installed it to "C:\Program Files\VOCALOID6" instead of "C:\Program Files\VOCALOID6SE" and then had to register it by opening the command prompt with admin abilities and typed:
1.) cd C:\Program Files\VOCALOID6SE\Editor
2.) regsvr32 VOCALOID6Plugin.comhost.dll

Win 11 - samplitude/cubase..... - C: Vocaloid6SE Standalone function OK. ....... VST3 don't work

my solution..... uninstall from C: ....... new install....... VOCALOID_AI_SE_6.1.0.2 ..... to an external hard drive.

why it works....no idea I am happy
