My name contains a special character. I have a legal license but unfortunately I cannot generate a serial index.

The tools show "Name contains invalid character".

The tool is not meant to use your 'real name' rather to create a 'unique name' to avoid being time bombed or nullified, (made unusable, non-working, or demo mode). So as per design, do not use non-alphabetic characters and it works fine.

A tiny little question I've got here. Does this "Use at your own risk" has anything todo with calling home/possible U-HE IP address gathering (so they can grab you by the jingle bells when you go legit) or because of people going "FruityLoops/Sylenth1 Martin Garrix style"? Or maybe both?

Asking this for Martin Garrix and for every other future multi-million dollar artist that, because of legal reasons, has to write a testimony how great UH-E plugins are which will then be used as an advertisement pitch till they die or till the moment when they get cancelled due to even naughtier things they've done.

Tnx DECiBELLE and R2R for making it easier (and more riskier)

A final note, UH-E must've seen their legit demo downloads go up by now. If you're smart you pick up this offer you can't refuse (if you have the money that is).

If you afraid of the rizk just use the pre patched Releases and block your DAW from going online via Firewall. And i don't get your point why should a Company do something if you go legit that would be bad advertising for them and the news would spread all over the www.

Usage In The Real World
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your name is "Karl Sanser".
You purchased u-he ACE.
You got serial number "JSNBT-E00Q-PRG6-FGMR-FS4F-1R6W".

Run our calculator.
Put "Karl" and "Sanser" as first and last names.
Click "Calc Index".
You will get "Karl Sanser" as FinalName and "1517" as SerialIndex.

Next, you need to find another name which has SerialIndex "1517".
You came up with the name "Yor Forger".
Put "Yor" and "Forger" as first and last names, click "Calc Index".
You get "Yor Forger" as FinalName and "1857" as SerialIndex.
Oops, SerialIndex does not match with "Karl Sanser".

After few minutes of try, you found that the name "Yor Forgerzib" has SerialIndex "1517".
Congrats, now you can register u-he ACE with

Name : Yor Forgerzib
Serial : JSNBT-E00Q-PRG6-FGMR-FS4F-1R6W

Of course, when you buy legit license with a name "Yor Forgerzib",
you will get exact same serial number.


Easier Way To Find Valid Name
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In v2.0.0, we added easier tool called uhe_ezgen.
It generates valid full name from Serial Index.

Put "Yor" "Forger" as first and last names.
Put "1517" as SerialIndex.
Click "Generate Full Name".

You will get Final Name like below.
"Yor Forgerxjfst"
"Yor Forgercvvrr"
"Yor Forgerzagbs"
"Yor Forgercill"

All of them will work in ACE with your legit serial number "JSNBT-E00Q-PRG6-FGMR-FS4F-1R6W".

NOTE :
This tool will make things easy.
However, we cannot say that Final Name is natural because of the random suffix.
If you need more natural name, this tool is not for you.

you need a retail installer to register the plugin using this method... R2R releases are patched to work with their serials...

I don't think there is a more stupid way to waste time, it literally took 30 minutes and the code 1517 does not appear, it is possible that the brands do it so that you end up frustrated and buy the product

You don't need to make 1517 appear. It can be anything else once you get a valid index and serial

Yes, but you need valid serial number to get it working, so you can generate valid name with serial number and not to be blacklisted.
