The waveform graphics are more interesting than the sound.
That makes it more fun to watch than listen to.

I actually compared it against Hive 2 and liked KULT more. Even though it's incorrect comparison as those are two completely different synths, but sonic wise KULT seems much more lively.
It seems it's a matter of taste at this point.

No, I don't think so. I actually have a template that I use for this exact purpose - to test news synths against those that I used so far or using now. I know Hive good enough to understand that you can't mimic the oscillator part of the KULT. Don't get me wrong, Hive 2 is a great synth, it's just they're different and if you need something more organic in your project, I would pick KULT(of these two).

Sonic wise KULT has much more movement due to nature of its oscs, what can sound very natural. That's what I meant by "organic".

Hive can do what sounds? The presets? Who cares?
Unless you know what sounds other people are making with it, you have no idea whether Hive can do it or not?

But generally, synths are interesting, not because of what they can or can't do. With the right FX, everything can do everything. Line up half a dozen Minimoogs and you've got a polysynth. They're interesting because of the workflow and the extent to which that workflow prompts creativity.

Anyone who doesn't get that is almost certainly just banging out tunes using the presets. And that's fine as well. If your workflow works for you, get on with it instead of dicksizing on Audioz.

Having trouble deciphering the machine ID for the keygen, thanks to Dawesome's weird, tiny font choice and inability to select the text for copy and pasting. Using a screen magnifier's not helping.

I'd be a bit pissed off if I was a legit user trying to register this offline right now!

I had to alter my screen resolution so it showed something I could read. I kept confusing 1 and l and I and 8 and B. At a lower resolution, I could see it fine though.

It's a really interesting synth. I'm very glad I downloaded it.

I've tried everything. Even changed my screen resolution to make sure I was typing in the correct Machine ID. It will not allow me to unlock. It also asks for email, password etc, which I don't have...? Is anyone else having this problem? I wouldn't care usually but, for once, this is one of those synths that sounds really good and different from most of the other softsynths I have recently. Help would be appreciated. Thanks and season's greets : )
