What is the size of the installed synthesisers ? Is it still 14.57GB or it takes more space?

when they mean "keep your computer clean" is that a hit on VR for some reason?

yes it is

both groups often write "open messages" to each other in the nfos of their releases : ) its traditional...

It happens often if you mix vr with r2r for the same vendor that you cannot get it licensed anymore because they use different methodes and emulations thats all what they wanna tell you.. just to use one or the other Release its on you both have their legit. But not to mix or update Version 0.45 vr with to say Version 0.76 R2R for example

I'm a sucker for these Arturia releases....unfortunately my designated DAW (Studio One v4...ya I'm on Win7 still) now getting errors loading the instruments:

The instrument version (1.8.0.1552) does not match its resources version (1.11.0.2880)

Prior to this, I'd uninstalled the previous version and install of new version went to a different path (I updated the DAW VST scan path).

Any ideas?

I think this happens when remnants of a previous version are already installed. Did you uninstall the previous version? If you did, it may be worth using a tool like BCUninstaller to uninstall and clean up leftovers.

Something with this exact R2R-Arturia-Installers lately is not working for me - at least on one of my win11 computers. Out of memory right before the inno setups first window (opening the exe -> Out op memory popup -> closed). I don't know whats up with this. Might be due to the selection of compression while creating the inno setup. But since not many users get this, I might be out of luck in terms of awaiting a change in the choosen compression . Even some extractors throw this error on that computer (when using on this setup files). (It's a beefy mashine, plenty of RAM, plenty of virtual memory, updated OS, updated runtimes, enough temp diskspace. Even after spending hours... Reading forums, asking people and reading the inno documentation and possible bugfixes... I would love to get the R2R release on this computer for some reasons.

Redoing the full OS install would most likely do it, but I really like to understand why this is even happening. After the last of this installers gave me this problem, I hoped the next one might be different, but: nope. Other pretty huge inno setups work fine - I'm out of ideas (besides reinstalling windows, which would do the trick for sure).

But IF someone had this exact problem and fixed it, please let me know.

Edit: I think with your help and hints I got it. This old 32Bit Setup file seem to quickly become problems with allocationg enough RAM on a system where some x86 .exe and other stuff might be running. (This also means the installer could use an upgrade for muiltiple reasons. It could use more RAM and righ now it decompresses on one thread.

A Solution could be: Closing all processes possible in the taskmanger. Then run the setup - if this doesn't do the trick start your PC in safe mode and install. This explains why some userer had it working some day and on others "out of memory". It explaind why a "clean" reinstall does the trick, too. not much autorunning there etc.. The active apps are different and consume a different amount of RAM based on their current state. Restarting with a minimal set of autostarting services/software might do the trick to.

It's installed now. I'm still thankful for the release. A new installer would be even better and is worth considering, I guess. Using the installer script for building a inno 6.2 setup which could run in 64bit if available would make this even better. With speedy drives and cpus the setup time could be 5x faster, too.

Edit: Closing the processes of my x86 mouse driver which runs 11 tasks in sum with over 300MB RAM (bad and bloated software) and x86 audio driver was enough to reproduce it in my case. So if someone has a problem with this: boot in safe mode or click through the the taskmanager and close your x86 tasks. Then retry loading the setup.

The release is working fine now.

I had the exact same issue with Out of Memory myself on Win11. I downloaded Collection 9 from a few sources and they all had the same symptoms, so it was definitely something Windows related. I ended up reformatting the system for other reasons and this pack installed just fine. Honestly can't say what was up with that or what I did different that it now works.

I did some hours researching the issue as well and came up with pretty much nothing as well. I have 16GB of memory and keep my pagefile at 16GB as well. I also was running with sysmain/superfetch off and flipped it on to test and still nope.

I am running a gutted version of Windows 11 though. As long as it thinks its my dad, I was so moving out of Windows Security's house when I turned 18.

Thanks for your answer. Good to know how you fixed it. This seems exactly like my issue here. I'm on a slightly customized windows, too. But I didn't stripped down anything that could/should break this installer. Just cleand up non bloat software, no system files.

This innosetup is a pretty old 5.5.7 version of innosetup packed as LZMA2 which raises the memory requirement... but is nothing "fancy" in its default configuration. But I should still have more than enough memory no (virtuak/real/shared nothing fills up) .
This inno version is from 2015. I hoped R2R will update to the current or a newer version - just to give it a try. It might be a simple incompatibility which is triggered under certain variables in win 11. But all of this is guessing. Would love to see this repacked in a 6.2 inno setup just to try, I even had it in a debugger and might try running with a debugger / IDA again to exactly find out whats going on, it must be a called system .dll throwing this error, this window it not part of the inno setup code. I just don't want to give up.

Otherwise I have no problems with my Windows at all. Maybe it's a security software issue, but my system has none of the real fancy optional security features active.

If I monitor what happens, this setup quickly creates a 260MB temp-setup file in my temp folder (in the first second, this is normal for inno setup but it should not stop there) and than it stops with "out of memory". Closing the popup kills the setup task, thats it.

I'll try letting in run on less cpu cores to. Just to be sure.

Thanks again for letting me know it not just me, highly appreciate you took the time to do so.

sometimes it's only a problem of too long path names. Try to unrar to a short path, something like C:\temp and run installer from there. The Windows error messages are confusing and often point to the wrong direction.

Thanks for your reply, highly appreciated. A good point. It didn't do the trick for me but it was worth considering.

I also have this issue from time to time, and usually rebooting or trying it again after a couple of days fixes it for some reason. I tried everything I could think, but I still can't find the exact cause or why it fixes itself after time.

Edit: worth noting that I'm running the latest Win10 with 32gb of ram. I also had this issue fix itself once by installing pending updates.

Thanks for your answer. 32GB here, too. (Win 11 fully updated) 16 threads more drives and space i could count, system managed virtual memory etc.). But I tried it for many months with the last releases, so sadly no self healing here. But it's interessting this is the case for you. Maybe this detail helps me to find out whats going on, too. Now I want to know the reason even more , ... even if I'm sure a reinstalled Windows would fix it, like another user confirmed.

Thanks again for commenting.
