Thanks R2R !

Did anyone try with an ordinary Mic to use the software ?

It says that you can use another mic, there is an option for that! But I don't now if it will be as accuate

Any real room frequency response will always be way more uneven and resonant than any possible mic one, so a correction attempt makes sense anyway. Second, if your mic boosts some particular frequency range, you can make adjustments to the final curve inside the ARC, it's always noticible and pretty wide bump that easy to correct.

i buyed that ARC Mic but i neever use it

Technically yes but the further away from flat response the mic is, the less accurate the calibration will be. If the software accepts microphone calibration files like Sonarworks reference does - and you can get hold of one - that would increase the accuracy. You can buy a reference mic like I did. I recommend the Superlux ECM999. It's very good for the price. If you do get one, drop me a message. I have the calibration file and I'm happy to send it your way.

Where to find the changelog? curious to know if the fix the high frequencies measurement errors.

I've been using Sonarworks Reference for years along with a flat response mic and its calibration file with good results. Does anybody have any experience with this software? Is it worth a try?

I'm in the same boat here. SR works well, but it became really buggy if you use it as a separate software for global correction. Wondering how this compares

I haven't used it for global correction for a while, but the plugin version works well. I could test out ARC myself I suppose but if I can find someone who has already compared the two, it would save me some time. If no one has an answer, I'll test it out and post my thoughts here.

I've been pretty pleased with Sonarworks 4, I don't have the newest version. Anxious to see a comparison between it and ARCs newest version.

I use R4 and my mixes translate better too, but bass mixing is another beast, start thinking I will need helmoltz membranes to correct the nodes in my room, those hofa 'bass traps' do not tame lower frequencies that good... any ideas on how to improve bass mixing are welcome. Thanks Decibelle I'll be sure to try this one out and compare results

Bass for me is still a work in progress but getting better. My room is treated fairly well and, in Reaper I use Sonarworks through the monitor fx function. Try to match a reference track remembering to run the reference track through Sonarworks as well. This should work for any room correction software, including ARC.

Bass reflection is definitely the hardest issue to remedy, but Sonarworks helps a lot. The overwhelming boom diminishes when I turn the calibration profile on. Visual frequency monitoring is where I go from there (before the Sonarworks plugin, of course.) I use a combination of Izotope's Tonal Balance and Voxengo's Span on a 3.5db/Octave slope in a mid - side configuration. I don't think I've had trouble with mix translation since.
I might test out ARC today for fun.

I have arc and sonarworks, the curves found are really very similar (though they have different db scales) but the corrections applied do not sound exactly the same, I´m not sure which one is more accurate.

Yeah I suppose without a baseline from which to draw context, it would be hard to make a justified comparison. Even if one sounds better than the other, there's no way of telling whether it is truly more balanced or if your ears are being fooled.

Hello, thanks for this release !

Unfortunatly after running the keygen, arc still not authorized. What did I missed ?

Thank you

Ok, found it : elevated my user account to admin and its working now (runing the keygen as administrator is not sufficient).
