I installed for Phaseplant, VSTI have some nice features and there is many presets but all sounds have similar character. Vital is better to me and deleted this one.

Why comparing Phase Plant and Vital?
Both are different, but both are excellent. Any of them have their pros and cons (like smartphone, computer, car brands...). To have an opinion, the best way is to test them, to experiment...

Phaseplant and Vital are not much different synths. Both of them about wave shaping, sound characters are very similar and there is no any noticable differences between patches.

Im not gonna be rude here but this opinion is proof you have zero idea what youre talking about. lmao. Phase Plant is easily one of the deepest and most versatile synths in existence, much moreso than Vital which is a decent synth but is very limited in comparison.

Are you using only presets?
Phase Plant is one (if not THE) most versatile synth actually. So no, the sounds dont have " similar character" unless you dont even try to make your sound.

I lover Vital too, for other reasons, but you should really give Phase Plant a better try, and anyone reading this also should.

Sound character about VSTI's features, you cant get analog emulation softsynth sound quality, modeled piano, 100 GB Kontakt piano from Serum, Phaseplant, Vital kind wavetable/shaper synths.Those videos about FX not about sound character.

Sound character mostly about synth kinds. Softsynth (analog emulation), wavetable (rompler, rom player), wave shaping, FM, granular, additive, subtractive etc. Analog emulations and FM synths produce clean sound cause those synths using algorithms for OSC's, when OSC using wave files those synths cant produce clean sound. Wavetable kind synths using 1 or more samples, apply realtime pitch/filter and produce sound, you can hear EQ differences between notes, if sample duration is long you can hear loop points. If you play same note again and again you will hear machine gun effect cause it will play same wave file.

So, what you call a synth kind, is called a synthesis type, or method.
All synthesis type but granular is covered by Phase Plant.
Everything you can do in Vital can be done with Phase Plant, but the not other way.

As a friendly game challenge, send me a Vital preset that you consider specially difficult to reproduce with it's "character" and I'll try to do it with Phase Plant.

I must add again that I love Vital and find it very useful, also it's free.

Subject is not about Phaseplant or Vital, its about synth kind. You cant produce virtual analog synth sound quality with Phaseplant, if you think you can, i will record some patches with some VSTI's also i'll give you MIDI file for exact comparison.

The best way is to use a separate Windows running into a virtual machine (VMware Player, or Oracle VM VirtualBox, for example), By this way, you'll don't polluate your main system (you'll can collect required files/folders for soundbanks, wavetables, an so on).

Soundsets will not work with legit version, as they are part of the specific installer that you receive when you buy it. So, not legit soundset will appear greyed in legit Phaseplant.
