Harambe says, "Welcome to the jungle, baby!"

What’s Inside?

Different monsters for different genres: the Gorilla plugin includes 3 preamps and the simulation of 3 studio standard bass amps.

Preamps

The green one is the most versatile and can deliver a clean, warm sound, while the drive button delivers a distorted and fat tube sound. Inspired by the famous Aguilar hardware.

Yellow offers a wide range of sounds based on the legendary Super Bassman all-tube amp and is the best choice for modern rock sounds.

The orange module is what you're looking for in the classic Ampeg sound of the Heritage series. Powerful bass with punchy mids will solidify your mix.

Input

The Gorilla features a 3-way splitter that gives you full control over your final sound. Each section is equipped with a compressor and a saturator. These can be mixed to your taste.
Want to rock out with your band without a guitarist? No problem! The built-in octaver in the input section turns your bass into a wall of sound machine.

Standalone

There is no need to open your DAW to use Gorilla. We do care about guitar players that simply want to have easy to use rig at fingertips. That is why we are providing standalone version of the plugin for everyone.

Easy And Advanced

The Main Window is a hub for quick, all-around changes to the sound. Pick a preset, change a few main parameters and you’re ready to go. Expanded ne-sections unveil the true power of Gorilla, revealing options and parameters that open up a whole new world of guitar sound.

Aurora IRs

An unprecedented mixer with four custom IRs is all you need to create your desired sound. Or you can just load your own favorite IR and quickly get a familiar tone.

Tuner

Fast, Accurate, Simple

State Recall

Try new tones without looking back. Quickly compare the changes you’ve just made. Globally or for each ne-section separately.

Artist Preset Packs

Play within seconds using an array of presets curated especially for Aurora Craft Series by musicians and producers like Kristian Kohle, Scott Elliot and Cultifact.

I assume you repacked this into custom installer like usual ? retail installer has been reported in AS to clear the host file. Someone reported it before and I think the last time my host file got deleted caused by installing the free Aurora DSP plugin.
It makes no sense to say you’re not good at it. It’s like saying, “I’m not good at being a monk.” You are either living as a monk or you’re not.

In the .nfo, it lists the prerequisite C++ that needs to be installed on the machine:
Prereq: Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) 14.30.30704
Here is 14.34.31931, direct from Microsoft.

Check to make sure you have this file on the machine:
C:\ProgramData\Aurora DSP\Gorilla\GorillaConfig.dat

Their installer was not analyzed in-depth. It is possible, based on the outragoeus practice of deleting remote files purposefully as in what they do with hosts, that there is some other comparable factor at play. In testing, it was observed that sound was not affected or changed as expected, by the product, when the mentioned file was absent. It needs to be present for it to function well - however, there might be some other check or similar.

Check to ensure it is present, with a date of September 22, 2022, as is from their installer.

Perhaps it is Win10+ only.

I got the .dat file in place also the C++ present... still no sound is affected by the plug

it's like a bypass plugin at this point

My Host Files Was Never Deleted by the way

Win11 updated to the latest everything. Same behavior, it's like the plugin is bypassed.

I got it to work in standalone by unmuting in the settings section. You have to crank the gain on your interface though to get any reasonable level which doesnt seem right.

I think something is wrong with the VST version, TCD will fix it soon I hope.

The built in tuner doesn't work either. The GorillaConfig.dat file is present at the specified path

After a more thorough analysis, it was discovered that this product creates a file at root of appdata\local and/or relies on it, in addition to creating and accessing hidden files @ C:\ProgramData\win-net and it is all tied in together.

In addition to that, there are extensive time bombs not previously seen. It is believed that "protection" has been stepped up, changed, since Mammoth and Rhino.

Other teams are encouraged to have a look and may use any and all work done already, and this is all encouraged in its entirety, as well.

It will still be looked at, and tested, however it is strongly being considered to wipe all machines of everything Aurora DSP. A company willing to overwrite your hosts to cause or possibly cause damage to your machine(s) deserves no place on any of them. There are too many other solutions that do nothing of this sort, nor aspire to. Thumbs up to you all!

Something pinches, and it says, perhaps this is a main reason why other groups have refrained from a release of this, thus far. If a PROPER can be produced, then more power to all, TCD included. Rock on.

Time bomb issue solved. For other groups: _mkgmtime64

There was more work done to get there, but this is the main bomb enabler.

Seriously, use this info to help and gooooo! :)

Ok! Talk about attempted interactive and cooperative engineering!

TCD has a protoype revision for the VST3 ready for you all to test. Nothing special else needed and that means no other files or license files necessary, either.

You should extract this over your existing VST3 to test. Please tell anything and everything that you believe can help, or just generally, how it is going. Thank you for your time and patience, and other groups, stay on it too!

This way, it is tested as time bomb completely disabled too, thus far AND a machine was brought into a working state from non-working, with this: GorillaTCDVST3RevisionTest.rar

Here, it is working without GorillaConfig.dat even present.

How is it going?
