Real-time pitch and timbre
The Pitchwheel plug-in freely alters the pitch and timbre of a sound in real-time. It has a large, easy to use dials and simple parameters making it a fast and creative effect unit. It can give fine tuning control from fractions of a semi-tone to huge multi-octave pitch swings.

* Accurately changes the pitch of a sound.
* Change the timbre of a sound.
* Pitch spin, and twist samples about while keeping tempo steady.
* Superior pitch shifting - great frequency stability and transient accuracy, with low latency and CPU usage.
* 46ms (at 44k) latency - amazing response time for a high quality wideband pitch shifter.
* Envelope/Formant fixing to remove the 'chipmunk' effect from vocals.
* MIDI controllable with multi-octave adjustments, and fine wheel detuning.
* 8 note chords for creating easy vocal harmonies and effects.
* Unique inertia settings for springy vibrato effects, and wild pitch swings.
* Easy to use - ideal for experimental and live performances.
* 48+ semitone pitch range.
* Resizable GUI.

8 note chords can be played through MIDI, allowing harmonies to be constructed easily from the audio input. The user pointer acts as a desired pitch change, and the actual pitch is produced by gravity and inertia controls. Pitchwheel moves towards the desired pitch at sample accuracy, enabling nice transitions without stepping artifacts. A DJ turntable feel can be created with some play, but the difference here is that the tempo remains the same, so your track can go on without sequence timing changes. You can of course use it static, and with the timbre wheel you can alter the character of a voice completely. The stereo image is kept intact on all pitches, without movement across the channels.

Deep thoughts by Cube:

Plugins cannot call home, so anything to do with
any sort of blocking is entirely unnecessary. It's impossible
for the plugins to lose their license under any circumstance,
whatsoever. Nothing special needed in regards to network.
Enjoy and rock on!

Is it just me, or does this plugin look like a washer/dryer set?

It's not just you. In the code, the main circle middles are literally called "GlassWindowButton," referring to the ability to right click them to enable values to be changed via entering on the PC keyboard. Try it. This wasn't always available. I don't know if 5.1 had it, but I don't think so. If it did, 5.0 or before, or something didn't.

Can this soft emulate the pitch shift that old tape machines had to variate tempo & pitch at the same time?

Yes. You're thinking of "wow and flutter." With proper automation to simulate what you are saying, it can be done. This thing is actually extremely controllable in various ways. Check the manual if you installed it, at the application's Program Files folder.

If you keep the Timbre panel closed (important to do so!) then it syncs up both wheels. The legacy way of this (in older versions) was a lock button. From the manual: "To do the same thing now, close the Timbrewheel."

I am thinking maybe use the same automation somehow that controls DAW tempo, just applied to the Pitchwheel plugin, even if it has to be adjusted to fit. It is the "shape" to match each that is important, I suppose.

Thanks for your reply.
I' m mainly seeking some soft to restore old tapes (some reels to reel and some casette). The issue always is to get the right speed & pitch...
I' ll give this a try.

Ahhhh I hear ya now. You want Capstan, by the same makers as Melodyne, namely Celemony. It generates the automation for you and fixes, etc...

Capstan helps if your tape deck had wow and flutter while recording the tape, or when digitizing it. meaning: is your audiofile changing (!) pitch/speed over the runtime?
then you need capstan.
Did you just not have the right playback speed, but it's constant over the runtime (as I presume from your post): you don't need anything at all.

You do something that most daws call "resample".
that makes runtime longer while pitching down or runtime shorter while pitching up.

//edit// btw: that is something that cannot be done by a plugin, as the plugin would need to have a timemachine built in. these are always rendered by a daw or a sample editor (wavelab, acoustica, etc)

More interesting than 90% of what's been posted for weeks. How sad

Pitchwheel is my favorite effect-pitcher out there :)
It's so much fun and sounds good even on ridiculous settings :)
