Alter/Ego (アルター・エゴ) is a real-time voice singing synthesis platform (VSTi/AU/RTAS/AAX64 plugin) by Plogue Art et Technologie, Inc.

Alter/Ego has the same work-flow as chipspeech but is intended to host voice technology that is not strictly vintage. In other words, post-1990 published research.

It is specially tailored for musical needs – simply type in your lyrics, and then play on your MIDI keyboard. It's a true synthesizer, the sound can be extensively modified for easy and expressive performances.

Voice banks come in various styles and licenses. Bones is the latest bank available and is also free.

How to make this run?
Created a key with ARIA Engine, but FL Studio does not start the VST.

Has anyone been able to load the free voices? When I drop the xml I get an error: "this instrument bank is not signed..."

From this version, our ARIA and Fermata Engine are signed by R2R signature.
so you need to have Team R2R Root Certificate installed. Make sure you follow all the instructions included in the info and r2r.txt.

I couldn't find the voice packs in here, I downloaded them for free from plogue's website instead.

I already have:

R2R Root Certificate (installed and tested ok)
Plogue ARIA Engine v1.9.7.1 Incl Patched and Keygen-R2R
Plogue Fermata Engine v2.1.0.0 Incl Patched and Keygen-R2R

The readme of the packs simply instructs: "drop the xml on the UI and AlterEgo will install it"

Unless they release a working license for the free availbable voice banks it is a useless plugin. Legit ones won't load in the cured AlterEgo Plugin.

Hm, this doesn't work with earlier AlterEgo voices released by R2R.

Anyone got it working?

If course I have both engines installed (latest versions).
