NOTE1: The new V14 crack by VR
does not have solution for COSMOS
login requirement. Users still need
to create Waves account and login.
No offline installation is possible.

NOTE2: V13 Apps like SuperRack has
bug that allows users to load unsupported
plugins. It crashes and never runs again
until you kill the problematic preset.
Clean up %PUBLIC%\Waves Audio\ when you
have the issue.

Has the problem of background processes (WavesLocalServer.exe) remaining after closing the DAW been fixed?

It's a WAVES problem, not a problem with these releases.
Also in this release WavesLocalServer.exe is a new process required for scanning some plugins (e.g. COSMOS)

Therefore, if you are concerned about it, it is better to manually stop it from the task manager.
