Out of morbid curiosity, having tested this DAW a handful of years back and finding it capable, why on gawds Green Earth would it *require a 4GB NVIDIA GTX1050ti? I understand the value of a GPU that can carry some of the processing weight (the gfx is why one of my old Win7 laptops that's a decade old still handles audio processing for days,) but there aren't even waves of video games that require–as opposed to recommend–these specs.
(To get ahead of this one, I don't need someone listing off every modern, GPU-crippling game that's on the market as a counterpoint; I'm familiar.)

It's working nicely on my " old ", simple, Asus laptop, Intel Core i5-7200U 2.5 GHz, 4GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphic 620.

Good to know, tho that's kinda what I assumed.
It just seems strange that a DAW's reqs would be listed so high since—besides it seeming that it's C/GPU usage would mostly be based on the amount of material and processing used by plugins—it might be a deterrent to possible customers. Just odd...

Yes, Magix's System Requirements are way over the top.

I'm using Sequoia without a single problem in a professional recording environment with two computers running Core2Quad CPUs (one Q6600 and one Q9550) one with 14GB ram and the other with 12GB ram, both DDR2 ram in 2009 model Asus motherboards.
In both computers graphics are from NVIDIA GT710.

I also run Sequoia in a Lenovo T500 laptop and use it on a regular basis for mobile recording (symphony orchestras, choirs, etc.)

No problems at all, not even while running a bunch of plugins in 96KHz multitrack projects.
So, no worries with the official System Requirements. They're tremendously exagerated.
In theory, theory and practice are the same.
In practice, they're not.

Not at all.
The remedy requires a modification of the proteins and of the exe.
